I’ve heard a lot of good things about the ECP pads and I got these shims to use with a different shimmable half pad that I already have. These shims are the lowest quality foam I’ve ever seen in a pad. They squish down just with my fingers when I pinch them. There’s no way this material can allow for any sort of lift to get a saddle and rider weight off of the back.

Acceptable quality made of a spongey foam. When I think of memory foam I think of the soft, bounce back type of foam. This is not that and has a rougher foam feel. But this also makes it a little more dense. They are holding up well and I appreciate the variety pack.

Pros: The shims are shaped to be compatible with most shim pads. It’s a nice feature that there are multiple thicknesses included. The shims are breathable. When several are stacked, there is some cushioning effect. Cons: These shims are very thin. Even when several are stacked together, the shock absorption ability of the shim is not what I expected. These shims are still useable and will be a helpful tool, but I will probably use them in combination with some more shock absorbing shims.

I'm glad there are multiple sizes because I wasn't sure what I needed. There are enough of them that I could layer where needed as well. I didn't need to trim any, but I'm still trying different configurations. They look to be easy to trim if needed.

These shims are very useful. I like that they come in different thicknesses. They work well used in a half pad to balance a saddle that isn’t quite the perfect fit.
