For the cheap price you can't beat the quality. Because it doesn't look cheap. It doesn't feel cheap. However, I am a big fan of built-in screen protectors. I don't like the peel and stick. I definitely don't like the tempered glass. Those things always break. Nope, not me. I like the snap on built-in screen protectors. That's what I had in my older Fire tablet. It's what I have on my phone. In fact my phone has a waterproof case. The only purpose for A Fire tab for me is actually kids apps for my kid. So having that snap-on protector makes a man feel good. You know? The pictures for this case make it look like it snaps on. I'm fact a face plate does snap in. Which is odd. 1st time I have ever seen a face plate that didn't have a plastic screen protector in it. Instead it comes with a peel and stick protector. I used it. Works well. The description doesn't specifically say built-in screen protector. So I guess that's my bad. This will work for now. Personally I will buy a built-in protector case at some point. But this works great for the price. No real complaints.

This case so far has lasted the longest on my son's kindle. Now to be fair, he picked at it and pulled at it, and the hard plastic part that snaps together is still on the kindle, but the black webbing was off the first week. It settles over the blue case and pushes into place, but this provided a great thing to pick at, eventually ripping. The kickstand was fun, but after two months, it too has given up and broke, as he had a habit of flicking it while playing on the kindle. It has protected the kindle from drops, and the blue part is sturdy and has held together for two and a half months, protecting it as promised. If you have a child that suffers from fig-its, this case is not for them, as there are many things to pick at/play with. However, it is a good case for normal people.

This is the 2nd or 3rd Amazon product that I have ordered that no where in the listing describs it as used and I got it with the sticker saying it was used. Mine came in a plastic bag with no screen protector or anything! I don't have time to send it back and order another either so I guess I'm stuck with this one and hope that my child doesn't scratch the screen! It is irritating that Amazon sends used items that are not complete as "new" items! With that being said overall it is a VERY basic cheap case. I would not buy again even if it is on sale which I think I got this one for $15? But it claims normally it is almost $30 and for that I would return it, I am tempted to still return it for $15 because it is VERY low quality.

This was for my aunts fire 7, she liked it and all but she don't know much about stuff like this. I was one installed it on it. If this was for my fire 8 i would be buying a new case I really don't this one, it isn't all that great of a case or screen protector. i found the protector a bit tedious to install while I did do about a 98% perfect install of it doesn't mean it was easy. while I managed by luck to not get any dust particles on the sticky side on screen view there is some on outer edges and that was about as perfect as i can get it. i had to retry the stick twice got it on like I said 98% perfect, 3rd time a charm right? Well still didn't mean air bubbles didn't happen a few did i managed to press them out with firm press n slides. Case construction I wouldn't trust dropping it from more than 3 inches above a hard floor the case plastic is that hard brittle kind of plastic the rubber layer very thin rubber I wouldn't trust it to absorb a whole lot of shock. If you absolutely can't spend an extra $8-$10 I understand why you would want this case, but if you can afford $8-$10 more you can do a heck of alot better. Find one with a built in screen protector you'll thank me later.

This case was purchased for my 7 year old son's Kindle Fire 7. As I installed it for him I was struck by how flimsy the rubber material was. It snaps into place in several spots, but I can't help but imagine that it will not stay in place for very long. This rubber material is stretchy and soft, and attracts a lot of lint which is difficult to remove. I was expecting this to be a case with that rigid rubber material you see on current Otterboxes, or other similar high quality protective cases. I once owned one of the original Otterboxes and it used similar stretchy rubber and we went through 3 of those rubber coverings before we gave up on that product. Otterbox has since made changes and I trust their products again, although you can find similiar, if not better products for much less money and there are several I've tried and am very happy with. I'm also not too enthusiastic about the plastic material in the case. It's not a heavy duty plastic, which again is common in Otterboxes and other similar products. Seems like it wouldn't take a lot of effort to break it. I'm hoping this will last, but I'm not optimistic. I think it's going to do it's job for a few months, but I'll look for something more durable in the future when the materials start to wear out on this one. I feel like I could spend about the same or just a couple of dollars more and get the building materials I was expecting.

The kickstand wouldn't even stay on and fell off as soon as I opened them. Paid $4 in shipping for each one i bought (2) even tho they came in the same package and considering I could've just went and picked then up since they were shipped from somewhere local. I guess u get what u pay for. But I did spend $30 on 2 cases which hopefully work in regards to screen breakage. I should've just bought better quality that was prime with the extra money I spent on shipping anyways. So beware if giving to small children the little metal rods all fall out of the kickstand
