The first time I wore these to the rink, a teenage girl asked me is I did roller derby. I guess this is what they wear?! They're pretty comfy for the most part, and they're the right weight. The tongue doesn't bend very well at the ankle and can be uncomfortable until you break them in. You may also need to loosen the wheels, but they feel great even before you do that. Bought these for my son so he could skate with me. These are definitely decent for the price point. He has wide feet and finds them comfortable. They are not too heavy or bulky. He is gaining skills fast so I would give these skates much higher marks then some of the other kid's skates we have tried on which are more like toys and stiff as all get out! We have used them on our wood floors as well as outdoor cement rinks. Have not tried in indoor rink. The laces catch in the velcro closure so they fuzzed up from day one however, I'll take it considering the overall quality and durability of these skates. They do come with an extra set of laces so that's nice. Would recommend. ... show more

I wear a sz 8 women's shoe and had to return with no problem to sz 7. For review that says awful because they pull to one side..you need to adjust the wheels and axles. You can't normally just roll out of the box with skates. Adjust them and they'll be fine.

The skates are very comfortable. If you are just buying these for casual use, they are great skates. However, if you are buying them to try out roller derby, such as I did, just be aware of a few things. The wheels are for indoor/outdoor use. If you plan on skating exclusively inside, you might want to look into a different set of wheels. However, since they are beginner skates, I didn't really expect a great set of wheels anyway, especially since you can change them out later. If you'd like to change out the toe stops later, though, it's more of a problem. The toe stops themselves are unadjustable. There is a bolt that goes through the middle of the toestop, which means you can only replace them with other toestops that have bolts in the middle. There is an extremely limited variety of toestops like this, and virtually all roller derby skaters use the adjustable toe stops. That is one thing I wish I would've known. Other than that, I am happy with the skates and once again, I can't stress how comfortable they are. ... show more
