    • Super stoked once I tweaked a few things.
I am sooo happy with this purchase. First the negatives: The BEARINGSare are only thing that I didnt like about this product. It appears that they are sealed so they will last a very long time without needing cleaning and lubercating, that aspect is great if you don’t like skate maintenance, but they are slow so it takes more strides to keep going. They are fine for beginning skaters. I chose to change them to a better quality bearing to get an easier roll. Super easy to do and will cost about 30 bucks, but you will need to take them out and clean them every couple of months, if you upgrade. The Wheels are great. A soft 78 durometer which is wonderful for outdoor skating. They feel smooth and roll over small debris and pebbles without causing you to trip. If you want to skate at the rink, I suggest getting a harder wheel and changing them when you skate indoors. The KINGPINS are at a 20 degree angle which is perfect for these skates, that makes spins and turns easier. If you are used to a 10 degree kingpin it will feel weird for a minute but after about 30 minutes of skating your body will adjust and it will be so much easier to maneuver. When I received my skates the trucks were super loose, so be sure to tighten them before skating for better stability, that being said I wish they included a skate tool with this product so you can make needed adjustments as soon as you get them. The TOE STOPS are good quality and they can be easily adjusted to your liking. The type of toe stop adjuster on these skates is the best type, they wont come loose and fall off when you are skating. That is important! The BOOTS and PLATES are light in weight. Thats a good thing because heavy skates cause your legs to get tired. The plates are nylon and the trucks are metal. ( dont ever buy skates with non metal trucks.) The Boots are also super comfortable and a nice width to accommodate feet of all sizes. I originally bought a size 8 but they were too big so I returned them and got a 7. ( I wear a womans 91/2 shoe). Skates have to fit snug so your foot doesnt move around in them while you skate. The BOOTS are really cute. They have a little silver lace-like design around the heel that matchs the little piece of silver that lines the bottom of the boot. The silver/black laces bring it all together for a classy look.Oh and I almost forgot they come in a cute and sturdy matching case and include a cloth sac to protect them. Hello- if you are considering these skates read this: I’m an experienced skater. I bought these in black suede and I am so happy with them! First of all the leather is good quality and the fit is true to the company sizing chart. There was literally no break in time for these Evoke skates. I have a pair of Moxi panthers which are still as uncomfortable and stiff as a board after two years. The ankle support is medium and the tongue does not slip down into the skate like the Lolly does. The trucks are lightweight with a 20 degree ankle if you like more maneuverablity with your turns and edges. This can feel very hard to control initially if you’re not used to that. I use these for indoor jam and dance. You will definitely need to tighten up your trucks before you start skating in these. They come with outdoor wheels so I swapped those out for a pair of Suregrip Zombies. The toestops are quite large but good for outdoors and they lock with an Allen wrench (not provided 😏). I swapped these out with acrylic jam plugs. The shape of the skates is very flattering even for big feet like mine. The skates are actually prettier in person than the photos I saw- at least the black ones are. The stock laces are not flimsy- they’re actually pretty nice but I swapped them out for silver glitter laces. The chrome cutouts on the heels are a really cool accent and I get so many compliments at the rink. I did need to add gel inserts because the insoles are on the thinner side… Finally, the carrying case is really spacious and awesome. It is very sturdy and well made- a very nice touch that they include it with the skates. I have already decorated with decals to customize. Overall I give these skates 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 and I will most likely get them in the Tiffany blue color next. ... show more

These skates are so comfortable and fun to skate in! Boots are soft but sturdy suede, and the tongue is padded and won't slip. The wheels are big and grippy for outdoor skating. The ride is smooth and safe. These are perfect skates for beginners but MAKE SURE to also buy a skate tool (some skates come with a tool but these don't) and watch videos on how to tighten and loosen your wheels, and how to adjust your toe stops. As for size, I took the insole out of my favorite sneakers and measured it -- to do this right, place the insole on a piece of paper and mark the paper at the longest point of the heel and the toes, then measure the paper between those two lines. Mine was 10.5 inches so I ordered size 8.5, which is my usual shoe size anyway. The fit is perfect with a little extra wiggle room in the toe area.
