It has great “get up & go.” You can switch speeds on the go; you don’t have to stop to change speeds. I’ve used it on all kinds of terrain - cobblestones at a botanical garden, bumpy asphalt in Disney World, etc. I wish I could find a spare battery. It lasted a solid 7 hours-constant use, in Disney world. It goes up AND down at whatever speed you have it set for. It’s perfect for me.
