    • Bought for a battery cut off switch for my RV!
I bought these for a battery cut off switch for my RV. I already reviewed the switch, so I won't bother repeating how that thing worked. These things didn't fit. The cable length was long enough, but the hole in the end of the thing was too small for the battery terminal. I was already way into the project, and after I finished swearing a whole bunch of times because I bought the wrong thing, I decided I could drill the hole out to make it bigger. Well that was stupid. I stuck the drill bit in the hole, started drilling and the damn thing bound up on the drill bit. Then it spun around at warp speed, and the other end sliced my hand open. So I swore a whole bunch more. My 12 year old son's eyes got really big and he slunk away to his mom to tell her what I did. Eventually, I stopped the bleeding and pulled out some pliers to hold the other end of the cable while I drilled. Needless to say, that didn't help much either. It really just ripped the pliers out of my hand, and whipped around and smacked me in the arm this time. More swearing..... After a while, I got the holes drilled, and put the damn things on the batteries so I could use the cut off switch. It works fine, after I cleaned the blood off of the side of the camper. ... show more

    • Great cables, but not for a car battery!
Not meant be used in an automotive circuit. By that I mean hooking up to the battery in your car/truck. Not with the terminals these come with anyway. There are no battery posts in vehicles this small that I know of. Unless you want to snip off one of the existing terminals and replace it with a conventional clamp. But if you want to go thru that just buy the same thing but with the proper terminal clamps already installed for short money. These work great for riding mowers, snow machines and things of that sort. I got them so I could remount the battery on my Bombardier Outlander ATV so the battery is more accessible. So much easier to charge the battery or use to jump start another machine now. The cables and terminals are heavy enough to handle these kinds of machines but pliable enough to make a fairly tight bend if need be. Just keep in mind how a few bends effect the overall distance between point A to point B when you buy a set of cables. ... show more

Added a battery inverter to my RV, a must have for any owner. It's so that you can disconnect the battery when not in use so that your RV lights, refrigerator, etc won't drain the battery. 100X easier than getting out your wrenches!

    • Excellent, heavy duty cables.
Excellent cables. These were designed for use from battery to inverter, but I used them to put two RV batteries in Parallel. I had to drill out the smaller ends (meant for the inverter side) so they would fit the battery posts, but I knew this when I purchased them. They are all copper and both the stranded wires and the connectors have been tinned, which is important to eliminate corrosion. Great price. Great product. ... show more

replaced the original battery cables on my 1985 Craftsman tractor with this set of cables. I am very happy to report that these were direct replacements (a little longer that the OEM cables though). The terminals are a perfect match. My OEM set had become brittle and chaffed through in a spot where it rubbed against the chassis in a hidden spot. Takes an extra few minutes to access the starter solenoid which is on the right hand side of the compartment. ... show more

As the item's name says, these cables are used to connect a medium-sized inverter to a battery bank, for making AC power available in various places around our farm. They're a little smaller gauge than I would prefer, but they are well-made, and should hold up for many years of use - as long as I pay attention to the electrical loads that I put on them. ... show more

I tried to use these on a kill switch for my camper battery. As soon as I turned on the kill switch, the cables melted and they fried my battery! The holes on the ends aren't even the same size. One end has holes way too small to connect to anything. I had to drill them out to make them fit. Get better quality cables elsewhere. ... show more

I purchased this as the suggested product for a exterior battery cut-off switch I purchased, only to find that the wire ends were too small, so I had to drill them out in order to get them to fit the studs on my switch. Other than that, the product is fine and well made.
