Features

  • CARBON FIBER GUITAR: As a substitute for tonewood, carbon fiber has the resembling tonal traits. The top of X4 Pro is made of a carbon fiber composite material with a purity of 95%, maximally transferring the string vibration energy into great acoustics performance, loud and balanced. You wouldn't believe how massive the low-end is when you hold it in your arms and strum a big open E major chord.
  • STABLE AND RELIABLE: Unlike wood, carbon fiber never warps, cracks, or scratches, staying consistent across different temperature and humidity conditions. Take it on travels from Hawaii to Alaska and everywhere in between. It stays the same, sounds the same.
  • ACOUSTICPLUS PICKUP: The patented AcousticPlus Pickup system works for both acoustic guitars and acoustic-electric hybrid guitars. It gets you reverb, chorus, and delay, with no effects pedals needed. Simply turning it on, you get more sonic possibilities. We hope that this feature would ignite the sparkle of your musical creative process. Take your playing to wherever that extra reverb, chorus, and delay would guide you to. Enjoy!
  • ELEVATED NECK: A disclaimer first: we mean to build it that way. It DOESN'T mean the guitar breaks. This elevated neck design releases the pressure to the top created by the fretboard from the 14th fret and up. The vibration of the top is drastically enhanced, providing better tonal response and dynamic range. The lows go lower. The highs go higher.
  • WHAT YOU GET: Each X4 Pro guitar was packaged with a deluxe hard-shell case, and leather strap.30-day return & refund and one-year US warranty.

  • Fantastic guitar with so much character!
Color: Black
I couldn't be happier with this Enya guitar! Having previously ordered one from a sketchy seller - and not receiving it after a 2 month wait - I was not expecting the best when I finally bought one on Amazon, but directly from Enya. Shipping was fast, and when it arrived the order was well packed and everything was perfect. Aesthetically, it is really quite beautiful and different enough to stand out amid the rest of my instruments. A coat of carnauba wax really enhanced the depth of the CF weave on the top (but I wouldn't recommend applying it on the matte-finished areas). While somewhat heavier than might be expected it cannot be considered cumbersome or unwieldy. The action on mine, when measured, was well within normal parameters and comfortable to play. Right now I don't feel the need to sweeten the action at all. I say this as a luthier who has played low-action electrics for the last 50+ years and has mild to moderate arthritis in my fingers. Nevertheless, I did change the factory installed strings for Thomastik-Infeld AC110's to suit my pick-playing style and to enable trickier conversions. Tonally, the guitar sounds fabulous (with either set of strings) with tonewood richness, and sustain that would put more expensive instruments to shame. Now a word about the electronics. They ALL sound much too good to be considered gimmicky and if used wisely can make this great guitar sound even better. I've read some reviews where complaints were made that the depth of the delay could not be changed and only the frequency (time) could. Actually, the time is altered by the delay knob itself. The depth, however, is changed by the position of the volume knob - indeed, the volume knob is critical in establishing the presence or intensity of ALL the effects and, ironically, has [comparatively] minimum result on the actual volume emanating from the guitar itself! I think the battery life is fine, but word is that it can be replaced anyway. The X4 sounds great through all of my amps, solid-state or tube. This guitar holds tune at least as well as my '67 Tele and 11-year-old Les Paul. I find myself picking it up to play more than with my electrics, and playing more seriously and with more expression. I'm old enough (and frugal enough) to consider $600 a lot of money to spend on a Chinese guitar, but impressed enough by the Enya X4 Pro to consider that price a bargain. This becomes even more apparent when one considers the addition of the sleek, black, plush-lined, backpack-style hard case and usable strap that are included in the price. I realize my review is totally subjective; if you're on the fence about this one, jump off now and see what this carbon fiber wonder plays and sounds like for yourself! ... show more

  • Great value for the price.
Color: Black
I bought this on an impulse after hearing a demo clip on the Enya website. I kicked myself afterward, but thought it would make a nice gift for a guitar playing friend. I watched several YouTube reviews, which were generally enthusiastic. When it arrived, I was fairly impressed by what I found. The case, while not top quality, seems nice. The guitar is heavy. If you like light guitars, this isn't for you. It looks funny. If you like the look of fine woods , this isn't for you. The sound. Well, that is a very individual thing. It doesn't seem to have the overtones and harmonic richness of a good quality wooden guitar. It doesn't sound bad, though. It has some built in effects. I seriously doubt that I will ever use anything but reverb, and not a lot of that. You can use the effects unplugged. They don't seem to do a lot that way, but you can use them. I let my guitar playing son play it, and he was impressed to say the least. The reviews pretty much said that it arrives in need of setup. The factory setup on mine wasn't bad. A lot of people will play it just as it comes. I lowered the action a little at the nut, and took some off the saddle. I also tightened the truss rod just a little. I have since read that it is easy to loosen the neck bolts and just raise the neck to adjust the action. I ordered a spare saddle, and might try raising the neck instead of taking down the saddle, since lowering the saddle usually lowers volume as well. I have been a fan of Elixir strings, but one of the YouTube reviewers said he didn't like the sound they made and replaced them with some Martin Retro strings. He thought they sounded better. I have ordered some and will give them a try. I haven't yet tried it plugged in. From the various reviews I have seen, I think it will do OK plugged in. The fretwork looks pretty good. I have seen some pretty high dollar guitars with much worse fretwork. In general, I think this is a really good value in a guitar. Being carbon fiber, it won't require the level of care a wooden guitar would. I didn't give it 5 stars because I reserve that rating for the very best. I think this might be a really good beginner guitar. It can take humidity changes better than a wooden guitar, and probably a good deal of physical abuse as well. It is well made, so the beginner won't quickly outgrow it, and they likely wouldn't outgrow the sound either. If the fact that it is a Chinese made carbon fiber doesn't bother you, I don't think you could go wrong in buying one. Do have a setup done right off the bat, though. ... show more
