  • Friggin awesome.
I was really on the fence about ordering a hammock. Bit the bullet and got this one. Wholly cow am I happy I did. Quick and easy to set up with the straps that I ordered. Lightweight and compact. Easy to carry and makes an awesome, comfortable place to rest or sleep when out hunting. Even took it on the boat for a river trip. I'm in Florida and tent camping gets hot and the humidity can be an issue. We normally sleep on the ground under mosquito nets. This has changed all of that. Only complaint I have is that it might be a little too good. Wife has stolen mine so now I need another. Luckily carrying two shouldn't be an issue. You will need a piece of rope or cord to hold the net up, at least that's my recommendation. If we set up camp I attach mine to my rain fly for weather protection. If its just a quick set up I've used my poncho as a rain cover. A bit of parachute cord and winner, winner, chicken dinner. I've not used it in cold weather so I don't really have much to offer in that area. As far as bugs biting through the bottom that does happen but I've found a mat or anything really will work to stop that. I've even used a cheap emergency blanket. I definitely recommend this item if you're in the market. ... show more

  • Perfect backpacking hammock
The only reason this hammock isn't getting five stars is because it was not shipped with the rope needed to clip bug net. No worries, I had plenty of rope to hang my tarp. Now, time to join the ranks of happy buyers. If you are on the fence about spending the extra money to get the Junglenest, all I have to say is "DO IT." It's like having a tent in the sky. - My night was bug-free, while my fellow non-bug netted hammock camping friends were woken up by mosquitoes humming in their ears all night. However, mosquitoes CAN bite through the hammock material, so make sure there is a layer between you and the outside world. - It keeps in a bit of warmth. We were camping in 40 degree Michigan summer nights, and I was perfectly toasty with my sleeping pad and sleeping bag. - Great for backpacking. It was so much easier to stuff into my pack than a tent. - The bug net can act as a sun shade while you are relaxing after a hike, but it is see-through enough to be able to see the stars at night. - FIne for the tall and chubby. I am 5'10 and 250, and had no problems stretching out, nor did I feel like the the hammock wouldn't hold me. ... show more

  • Good engineering.
ENO rocks. This is my go-to hammock. pretty lightweight backpacking sleeping system (if you know how to tie a bowline -- get rid of the overkill, massive rope and biners they attach to the ends --- no doubt, for liability reasons for Cretans -- use a short length of 550 paracord, larks head it thru the ends of the hammock, and tie a bowline with the bitter ends onto their Helios straps. I think i used about 5' of paracord on each end, so it ends up with about a 2' length to tie). Gotta get the "hang" right (angle). I have gotten it comfortable (about 30 deg down from "tight"), but not yet figured out to really get the bug net up away from my head. that's a little annoying -- but, less annoying than mosquitos... I was super frugal and bought some low-end hammocks to save a few bucks in past years. I'm now sold on ENO. ENOs material is sooooo much better: lightweight, but doesn't stretch out too much (the others would stretch out over the course of the night, so you'd be sagging low after a few hours -- that's no fun). ENO's fabric does NOT do this. Really good quality stuff. And, they're a local (Asheville) company, so I like to support the "little local" guys. ... show more

  • Hammock Fun for Everyone
Color: Evergreen
So my wife and I aren’t you’re typical hikers and athletic type. We love to eat. But we also wanted to hammock. So, I bought her the Eno Junglenest. I also bought the Atlas Straps XL and highly rated carabiners made for hammocks and climbing. So if you are a bigger person and feel that hammock life isn’t for you, you’re wrong. This hammock is great because her or I can lay in this hammock with 100% confidence. We have 2 hammocks. The other one I have is great but nowhere near as comfortable as the Eno Junglenest. I use that one and my wife uses the Eno. She loves it. She was so happy today at the park and we had a lot of people complimenting the Junglenest because of the added bug net. Didn’t really need it today so just tucked it back. The weight of the hammock is less than 2lbs to pack. So in a small backpack I can travel with 2 hammocks, 2 atlas straps, 2 camping chairs, beverages and snacks. All the ingredients for a great relaxing day at the park. I will add the Eno Ember 2 under quilt and Eno Pro Rainfly very soon since my wife is so happy with her Junglenest. I won’t do something if she can’t. I’ll always include her in my fun times. Now we both can hammock and enjoy the lifestyle together thanks to Eno Junglenest and I’ll be buying a lot more Eno products in the near future to add to our experience for the fall and winter coming. Winter weekends in the mountain while in a hammock sounds very comfy to us. I highly recommend this hammock for bigger people 250lbs-400lbs with the Atlas Straps XL. You’ll never feel left out of a fun experience and can join the fun in confidence. ... show more
