I spent 4 days agonizing whether to spend money on something that received mixed reviews. I kept rereading the reviews and looking at the pictures. I decided to go for it! Mind you, I don't return things I don't like, I'm actually pretty lazy and don't want to bother. With that, when the packaged arrived I was super nervous about being disappointed with it. I have a narrow hallway, no storage in my apartment and not a lot of space so I needed something that was functional and could hold a good amount of items. I didn't have storage for sheets, towels, shower curtains etc. I put the unit together which took me 2 hrs because I was watching TV so I was pretty distracted. Everything was labeled, easy to follow instructions, and not a bunch of pieces to figure out. When i seen it in pieces I started getting disappointed and thought this was gonna be tiny and ridiculous. After I put the product together I was pleasantly pleased! It's pretty tall and I'm 5'6", and just the correct depth for the hallway. I was able to fit 8 fabric shower curtains in one drawer. We have large jumbo towels and small towels. I placed 5 jumbo towels in a drawer 8 regular towels in another(no gaping). 8 queen fitted sheets in another drawer and so on. Make sure you fold the items properly or roll them. This review comes after over a year of every day use of this dresser. It works amazingly. There’s no sign of wear, no handles have come off yet, and the drawers slide in and out perfectly with no snags. This was worth every cent, and is a very viable replacement to a regular dresser. First Positives: has lots of room, drawers are sturdy, easy to follow instructions, for the most part what I needed/wanted Next Negatives: it is wobbly (yes I checked to make sure all screws are tight), it had a chip out of the corner top wood piece (could have happened during shipping)

I know what you're all here for, so I'll begin with the embarrassing story. I thought I would do my husband a favor and put this together for him. I was coasting along, had the frame completely put together, and thought about how impressed he was going to be that he didn't have to do it. I stopped to take a break and wanted to grab a drink so I stepped through the frame only to tangle myself and oh so gracefully fall COMPLETELY ON IT. My body was hurt. My pride, even more. After I scraped myself off the frame and the floor I was faced with the damage I had done. Every piece of this frame was bent in some way or another because of the force of my fall. You know that feeling when you are the lucky soul that breaks the lawn chair? Multiply that feeling. I am an average sized human being. I did not think my body could do so much damage - thanks gravity. I told my husband the story, which he found hilarious, and he told me I should contact the company to see if they could help in any way. I felt reticent to do it, because, it was 100% my fault that this was unusable. But, I reached out anyway. And, I couldn't be happier. Their customer service was incredibly responsive, AND, they sent me a completely new unit. I can't believe it. They had no obligation to do this and I wasn't expecting it. The new piece arrived and was assembled without any further destruction and it is beautiful! This is a nice, solid piece of furniture that doesn't break the bank. It is sturdy and the drawers work really well. I highly recommend this piece and this company. Customer service means a lot! ... show more

So we had wooden dressers and just didn't have room for our stuff anymore. I needed a solution that was larger, but to buy a wooden one again was quite expensive.. I found this and took a chance and I'm glad I did. It's lightweight when empty so it's super easy to move around as needed. This would be perfect for someone that needs a larger dresser but doesn't take more than 1 person to move.it has a wood top so you can put stuff on top without worry of it flexing or buckling. It has leveling feet on the bottom which I adjusted the front a tad higher so it leans back into the wall. It doesn't look super cheap and fits our decor nicely. When my son needs a larger dresser, I'll be ordering him one as well. ... show more

I purchased two of these chest of drawers and both have Extremely Bad and Strong Smell that fill my whole house! The smell was so bad and strong that it woke me up during my sleep last night causing me to cough uncontrollably and so strongly that I had to go to my kitchen to take cough medicine. That helped a little but then I had to cover my head with my sheet to be able to sleep through the rest of the night! What in the world is this odor?! Smells like Embalming Fluid Odor which is not good for your health!!! I didn't smell this odor when I was putting the metal frames together. My wife put the knobs on the drawers and placed the bottoms in each. It was after several minutes later that the smell started to become strong. This is how Embalming Fluid does when it is subjected to room temperature ..... The dresser drawers are fine for children but for adults, they need to be half again deeper than they come. Meaning that they should be deeper front-to-back so adult clothes can fit. If the smell keeps causing me grief, I guess I will have to use them in my work shop and buy new real whole wood chest of drawers like the Amish make. I guess you get what you pay for .... Now, I can't breath deeply or else I will start coughing again causing this headache to get worse!!! I am a disabled vet who was just trying to save a little bit of money before Christmas .... ... show more
