  • Save yourself $500-700 and DIY
Perfect fit. Dealer wanted to charge about $700 to fix the oil cooler leak in my 2012 Altima 2.5S and I wasn’t having it when the part costs $20 ($50 with new oil and filter) and it takes one hour to replace. Jacked up the car, removed the passenger front wheel and plastic cover for the oil filter, dropped the oil and filter, four bolts (12m socket) to displace the cooler from the engine block, another four (12m) with a ratchet end wrench to take out the entire assembly, clean and drop in the gasket, put in the other gasket, button everything back up (finger tight PLUS a quarter to half turn, I’ve read 20-25 ft-lb torque but the space is too awkward to get a wrench in there plus the feel of the bolts is about that especially the last 4 bolts) and refill filter and engine with oil. Check for leaks, put everything back of good and then you saved yourself $650 and feel accomplished. I highly recommend getting a wrench set that has a ratchet end, this makes this job 100x easier. ... show more

  • This will cause a leak again.
I purchased this on October 9, 2018 and installed it shortly after that. The oil cooler was cleaned of all debris before install and all torque values were set correctly. a little over a year later and its leaking even worse. Do not buy. its not worth the effort. I haven't tried the OEM replacement but I will this time. ... show more

  • Repaired the leak.
Purchased this set for my wife's '08 Altima 2.5L after a local shop quoted her over $350 to fix an oil cooler leak. Gaskets fit like the OE part and fixed the leak for pennies on the dollar. No complaints from me!
