I ordered the wrong size for our spare room, not realizing how small the floor space was. It took me roughly an hour and a half to put together, but I'm also a pregnant woman who had to take breaks in between. Wasn't hard to follow the directions. After deciding that it was too large for that room I chose to return it and got a Queen instead. The only hassle was boxing everything back up into the same box it came in, but I figured it out and it was on its way the very next day. Its free if you have a ups store near you, but if you don't have one near you, you'll have to print the label yourself for roughly a $7 dollar cut out of your refund like I did. Then you just have to take it to a drop off location instead. Super easy, not much hassle. The Queen size is just as sturdy, same directions, and only took me about an hour to put together since I already knew what to do. Glad I chose this frame! ... show more

I bought the queen size version 18 inch height bed frame from Emoda. This is a well-made excellent structure bed frame. You definitely do not need a box frame. I thought my mattress was starting to get lumpy but when I got rid of my old bed frame and box frame and use the new one from Emoda I noticed a huge difference in the mattress. The mattress is now firmer I love the height this is the absolute best! The steel structure is excellent quality.     • Recommend, but here's some things I would like to have known ahead of time
Size: Twin XL Style: 16 inch
Just assembled a 16" high Twin XL platform. Took about 20 minutes-easy. When reading the reviews before purchasing, there were several things no one mentioned. I didn't find one that mentioned that the side rails fold at midpoint, even after assembly. Not a big deal but something I would like to have known. So when you pick up the bed from the side be careful, and don't grab it smack in the middle because you may get pinched. Also, the slats are not attached, but just sit in a u-shaped channel and can easily be lifted out. Next, the slats are up to 7" apart so I plan to put some stiff cardboard or a cheap piece of 1/4' paneling between the mattress and platform for extra support. This sturdy platform should work out fine and the ability to have extra storage beneath is a plus. ... show more

I bought this as a base for a twin mattress. I was pleasantly surprised at the height, and the number of slats to provide the support. I bought a mattress and truly you do not need a boxspring with this base. The mattress does not slide around on top of it, it's very sturdy, makes no noise at all. It's fairly easy to put together by yourself, although I had to lean some of the assembled pieces together while attaching other assembled pieces. It's not super easy by yourself, but I was able to do it. Assembly only requires the provided Allen wrench, directions were pretty clear (all of the pieces were clearly labeled).     • Under frame storage is massive

This frame is sturdy and relatively easy to assemble. The height of the frame is slightly higher than the box spring arrangement I originally had but not uncomfortably so. The underside storage is fantastic, which is my primary reason for purchasing this item. There are two downsides: first, there is no design to stabilize the mattress which can slip and slide on top of the frame. It's not a deal breaker for me but could be annoying for others. Second, the metal corners of the frame are a potential hazard for the toes and shins. You must be careful moving around the bed, or you will suffer eventually with the banging of your lower extremities. ... show more

This bed frame is pretty solid. Ordered one for our cal king and it holds up well. Only issue is it's about 5 inches too long on the length end. Other than that, you get your money's worth. Setup was pretty simple as well.

This frame allows for a lot of storage underneath the bed. We added a couple of book/bin shelves at the end and some larger fabric bins in each side. It allowed us to have more storage space in our room and clear up some floor space. It’s a very sturdy frame as well.
