There is even spare room in the bag to add an emergency radio and travel size personal hygiene items. The tools are good quality, small, but decent quality. Everyone should have this survival kit! It has everything you would need but never think of when you find yourself in an unfortunate situation. The camping lamp requires 3 AA batteries, so I would get that along with the order, and some extra to have for back up in your kit. It's great for camping too, though the tent only holds two people, so if you have more people it might be a good idea to get a bigger tent, just in case. It's now more than ever a good idea to prepare for unexpected events, but this is also a wonderful and super convenient kit for all your camping needs.     • A lot of stuff in this kit...quality is ok.

You get a lot of stuff in this kit and it will always be good to have this with you on backcountry outdoor adventures. I keep it in the bed of my truck, hanging up in a corner. I supplemented it with a few more items that I wanted to have with me, so I did put the items in a different bag that can hold more. The bag itself was fine though. The quality of individual items is decent but I wouldn't say great. But, I am not intending for these items to be used on trips regularly, but as back-up in an emergency situation. Actually, when my son and I first went through this kit, we commented that it was like Christmas day...opening up all the cool little gadgets one at a time. A couple of my favorites in this kit are the emergency tent, non-battery flashlight, survival whistle, emergency pen, and the paracord bracelet (which has a built-in fire starter), and especially the mini fire bellow. The bracelet's fire starter was very small, but it actually worked to my surprise. The regular fire starter that came with this pack is much more functional though. If you were to buy all of this stuff individually, it would cost you a lot more, so I am pretty happy with this, and would recommend this for anyone as their 'survival' kit. ... show more
