    • Perfect for Brother SE400
This hoop worked perfectly on my SE400. I think those who say it doesn't work, may be thinking with a larger hoop you can do a larger design. The SE400 will only do designs that are for 4"x 4" no matter how large your hoop is. This larger hoop allows you to add other designs without rehooping your fabric. Be aware that the machine starts at the middle of the hoop, so if you want to add other designs you may need to adjust the layout, which is shown in the instruction booklet. ... show more

This hoop fits my Brother SE 400 perfectly and is easy to use. I can split a larger design into 2 or 3 separate files using the software program Sew What Pro. This hoop has three positions, each of which will still only do a 4x4 section. Each section overlaps in the software so you can find the best position to split your designs. The total area that you can embroider on this hoop is 6.77x3.94" which suits my needs just fine. There a great many 5x7 designs that I can size down just enough to fit this space and make them work out well. This has opened up a much wider range of possibilities for me to play with my machine. Works perfectly with my Brother PE540D!! I purchased this in hopes of expanding what I can do with my machine since the embroidery field is 4x4 only. My expectations were met. It takes some getting used to remembering to move the positions, but once I got that down, I have been able to make quick work of larger designs. I bought this so I could do bigger embroidery projects than my 4x4 and I must say I’m obsessed!! Very easy to use. If you do embroidery, chances are you already have a digitizing software. Learning how to split up my design to make it fit into the proper measurements for my machine was a learning process but YouTube helped!! ... show more

Worked great. I didn’t have to reset the fabric as much. I wish I had an embroidery machine that you could simply feed the fabric through like a sewing machine. But until that time - this hoop did the job.
