Also works with Babylock Unity but ONLY IF you previously purchased Upgrade Kit 1 ($250-300) for your Unity. This hoop WILL NOT work on your Unity without the upgrade. The Unity upgrade Kit includes an 8x8 and 12x8 Babylock brand hoop, so unless you want a second 8x8 hoop, there’s no point in buying this one. I wanted a second 8x8 hoop so gave this a try. It worked flawlessly. It’s not an Embroidex hoop, contrary to how it’s advertised; but other than the well-known screw mechanism difference, it appears to be identical to my Babylock hoop. ... show more

Difficult to get fabric in the hoop. When trying to widen the hoop, the parts to tighten the hoop falls apart. It’s too frustrating to use and not worth the money

    • Works for Babylock Solaris
This hoop fits and works with my Babylock Solaris. I did notice that it takes a bit more effort to insert the hoop into the machine and also that the machine did not give a warning message when the little lever that secures the hoop into the machine was not in the locked position. In that case, the machine just won't work at all, but once the lever is pressed down, the hoop worked just fine. I am pleased with this purchase. ... show more
