For the *price*, this is perfectly fine string. But compared to nicer brands, it kind of sucks. The colors are nice & it gets the job done, but it does occasionally rip so you wind up getting little tuffs in your stitches like these. It's also very course, so it doesn't lay flat or blend in the way brands like DMC do. If you're a beginner or don't plan on ever displaying/selling your work, buy this string. I wouldn't suggest it for anyone else.

All right, I do know what I was thinking. I was tired of going to different stores to get all the colors I need for a given project. Always, always at least one or two of the colors I need would be out of stock wherever I went. So having all the colors means I'll never have to do that again. (Theoretically anyway.) But, since I keep my floss on bobbins in organizers, it is turning out to be a monumental headache to get all 447 colors wrapped on bobbins and organized. So, at the moment, I think I was crazy to get this. Still, once I've finished organizing everything, I'll probably be glad I did.

This embroidery thread 🧵 is similar in quality to the individual skeins of floss that you find at JoAnn’s. It has a similar satin-like look and feel. I was expecting it to be stiffer and rougher in texture & appearance, like the cheaper multi-packs of floss that you can purchase, but it was not. I also like that I can purchase complimentary color families of floss for my projects (instead of a big pack of many colors.) I purchased this floss to create bendy dolls (& accessories) and it was perfect for creating various skin toned dolls. Highly recommended for various projects.
