How can a tiny cold spot on my wrist/forearm stop the hot flashes I have been battling for years? This is crazy! I have been on estradiol hrt patches for too long, and have tried to taper off -- reducing stregth and adding menopause relief supplements (estroven, amberen ...) with no relief until now. I was skeptical and figured I'd try it for a couple of weeks and return it. I won't be doing that!! It was charged when it arrived so I read the very short and simple printed instructions and put it on. At the onset of a hot flash I double tapped the little button on the left for cooling. Immediate waves of delicious iciness kicked in. At first it was a little confusing. I felt I was kind of having a hot flash but was distracted by that wonderful cold feeling. At the time I thought wow, if I had one of these on each limb, and on a necklace and a belt -- this could work. I continued throughout the day using it. When I downloaded the app and looked at the options I decided I better charge it so I could use the All Night Session. That's when I realized IT REALLY IS WORKING because I had another hotflash without the embrwave2 on and I felt a desperate need to run and get it off the charger and back on my wrist. I have been using it for 5 days and 4 nights now. The downside is that it doesn't feel great to have it positioned above my wrist, but the band does keep it securely positioned in place. That is small price to pay for the relief from the torment of hotflashes though, so I unreservedly give the embrwave2 5 stars! Lol this may work through some kind of self hypnosis. I am one of those people who can't be hypnotized BUT I think for me this works because I become so fixated on the icy sensation that my mind overrides the hot flash. I really don't care if it's a placebo or if there is a real physiological basis - it works for me.* *After using embrwave2 for about 6 or 7 weeks I need to add to this review. It DOES WORK just as I described above. The problem lies in the 'All Night Session' which is a programmable setting using the app. This session is supposed to deliver a milder 7-9 hour cooling session to alleviate hot flashes that wake you up. It only works for ME for about 4 hours, and unfortunately my 4-5:00 am hotflash still disrupts my sleep. After much contact with customer support it was determined the embrwave2 is still functioning properly. The problem was not a battery issue, it is a self protection mode to keep it from overheating, so it shuts itself off. There are suggestions to keep that from happening; not being fastened too tight, keep it out from under covers ... but those didn't work for me. All that said, I just skip the all night session and tap the button when I need. It does not overheat and shut down just from wearing it all night, it's just when it's programmed for the 'all night' session.

I cannot properly regulate my body temperature so this thing is a godsend. It’s helpful when I’m working in a hot back room to aid in cooling me off. I’ve been wanting this for a while but was told we couldn’t afford it, It probably didn’t work, yada yada yada so I’ve made it a priority to get it for my job. It does work and it is helping to keep me from passing out, and allowing me to do my job effectively. I’ve been using it for about two weeks and I just now got the app …oops. Honestly the wave 2 is really neat but more so than that the app allows me to customize my settings more than I thought was possible. I am very pleasantly surprised by that! I’ve been using ice on the same point of my body for years while working in restaurants. This is a awesome upgrade and the battery life is really good. I was very surprised and I actually had to remind myself to charge it every couple of days. I allowed my ex-husband to try it and he’s now considering the fact that he was just could’ve been wrong. Miracles do happen. I will acknowledge that the price was a bit high, but it honestly is completely worth it in my eyes because I haven’t passed out at work from the heat. I am able to get my job done quicker and more effectively as well as not being as exhausted at the end of the day, keep in mind I only bought it for the cooling, but I have also tested out its warming features on a chilly night, and I didn’t expect to love this thing as much as I do. And the best part is, I saved up the money to get it, but it was actually covered by my new HSA and I’m not gonna lie I was not expecting that, but I am very grateful. if you’re able to get it and you think it would be helpful try it because it really has been a massive help for me. oh, and last thing I didn’t download the app for two weeks but it was easy to use ready to go right out of the box. I did charge it first just because I couldn’t be bothered to read if they had pre-charged any of it I saw a very simple picture that said, which button was warm which button was cool and I immediately put it on and went to work after getting ready. I didn’t download the app because I didn’t think I needed to, but it has been tracking each session that entire time which I find extremely helpful. I’ve been able to look back and track trends for the days that I’m working. With or without the app it is super simple and I cannot stress to you how happy I am with this purchase I do like the fact that I had the choice of the pink/rose gold or the black.

I wanted to love this product. my charger was junk after 30 days, so i contacted Amazon where I purchased mine since the prongs were no longer working when set on the charger. Their chargers mind you are $50..so after 30 days I was not about to buy a new charger. Amazon sent me to Embr customer service. I got an automated email, then 3 saying the same thing from "Chloe" saying they are sending it to engineering and yet another one asking me to send an email through the app...which is did. I sent photos of my charger. This was a week ago. in the meantime with the last charge I noticed my skin has a perfect brown square where heating and cooling square sits on the inside of my wrist and I am fair skinned. skin is also now peeling suggesting a burn...so with the ridiculous lack of help for a charger from this company there is no way I want to deal with the lack of help in trying to find out if mine is malfunctioning. I reached back out to Amazon and thankful that Amazon is allowing me to just return the whole thing for a full refund after the return window ended by a few days waiting for Embr to provide any amount of actual customer service vs unrelated FAQs and surveys wondering if I was satisfied with Chloes help...what help. Sadly save yourself the headache or hope and pray you don't need any amount of customer service. Eye opening also to look on socials and Google for the amount of people with charger issues with the poor design. For $300 I would have hoped for more than 30 days use without the ridiculousness they try to call customer service.
