I’m the guy that will make an espresso, then get distracted by getting kids out of bed, and fed, also have to feed the dogs, cats, wife, etc. I’ll THEN get back to my espresso that is usually cold.     • Exactly What I Needed
I always make a cortado in the mornings before commuting to work, M-F. On the weekends, I make a small drink and enjoy it right away, but during the week, it might be a while until I’m on the road and have some time to reach over to enjoy my first sip. This is perfect for me. The first sip is the perfect temperature, and I don’t have to rush to finish it before it gets cold. I like that it has no handle because I can fit this and some mineral water in my cup holders at the same time, and the cup has a nice weight and feel to it. I didn’t know I needed this.. I love coffee in all forms, but I’m what you call a distracted coffee drinker. I tend to make a coffee/espresso and leave it on the counter while I feed my dog, answer a work call, etc. I got the 10-oz mug as a Christmas gift and fell in love with how hot it kept my neglected cup of joe. I bought this little guy for my espresso days. While it doesn’t quite register a temp on a 2-oz shot, it does beautifully with a latte or cappuccino at an additional 2-3 ounces of steamed milk. A little on the heavy side, battery lasts for a few drinks unless in charging base. Doesnt let your drink drop below the set temp. Nice saucer like charging base and the finish is nice. On/Off button on the bottom is dificult to use.

Great gift to an espresso lover. Keeps temperature perfect for those who like to sip their cup for a long time. It is a good size - which makes it hard to fit into an espresso machine under the dispenser, so you have to make coffee in another cup and them pour the drink into this one. I'm a daily coffee drinker so I was really excited to review this Ember Temperature Control Smart Cup. Unfortunately, I'm not yet a believer. First of all, check the size you are ordering and measure it in your regular coffee mug. I drink two to three mugs of coffee each morning. I was thinking that having the Ember would help me slow down and savor, so maybe decrease my intake. I really need a bigger size though, as the 6 oz is gone so quickly that I haven't had a chance to test how long the coffee will stay warm. I also would really prefer the option that has a handle. For me, this wouldn't be worth the cost. But others might find they enjoy it. The product is really well made and very easy to use. It's just not for me. ... show more
