My wife and I wanted to go from a queen-size to a king-size mattress. But our home is built in such a way that it's impossible to get a conventional king-size mattress up the stairs. We first got a split king-size box spring, so that problem was solved. Now we needed a mattress. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews. I was a little nervous about ordering this one, but the good reviews seemed legit. Two details helped sell me -- first, people reported that there was no unpleasant odor and, second, people reported that this mattress is very firm. I'm totally good with very firm -- if it's too firm one can always get a softer topper, but if it's too soft, well, you're stuck. The reviews were right on both counts. There was no unpleasant odor as this mattress "reinflated" over the course of a day. And yes, it's firm. At first I thought perhaps too firm, but over the next few nights after purchase it turned out to be just fine for us. We are both sleeping better than on our old mattress and I am completely satisfied with this purchase. It's an excellent deal for the money. I think i already wrote a review but this thing is so good im writing again. i've had it for a couple of months now. i work 12 hour shifts at the hospital, my fiancé works 10 hour shifts as a mechanic. we are both VERY picky sleepers. we've never had a mattress this good. first the cover thing for it feels amazing it's like a perfect mixture of soft and like a satin material. i have sensitive skin and i haven't had any issues from it and love it so much. make it so comfy. second the mattress is developed so perfectly. whoever created this deserves a raise and to be a billionaire. i've recommended this to so many people. usually i'm more of a firm mattress person but the soft side of this mattress is so nice and im in love. yes it makes it difficult to wake up at 4 in the morning to go to work but at least it's a good nights sleep. anyways if you read this far and take anything from this it's stop your searching and buy this mattress, you won't regret it. thank me later😉 ... show more

This mattress replaced our old temper-pedic. It fluffed up great and honestly we used it the first night because it was fully inflated. But, after two night's sleep it didn't feel to me as soft as it should. It has been advertised as soft on one side and medium firm on the other. We had placed it on the soft side and I was waking up with horrible lower back pain. I called Amazon and they told me to give it a few more days. I googled how to make a memory foam mattress softer and one of of the things they suggested was to get rid of the box spring because they made the bed feel harder. Memory foam beds are designed to be used without a box spring. We still had our old temper-pedic box spring on the bed. So, we switched that out for a 14 in metal king bed frame and poof, magic, soft bed. I felt the difference immediately. I absolutely love this bed now. I look forward to getting in it. It's like a cloud to me, a big fluffy marshmallow that plops right back up once I move or get off. I do have a 4 inch foam gel topper on it that we've had for years but the combo is perfect. The box frame was making it hard and not allowing it to conform to my body and support it appropriately. Glad it's gone. So, if you buy it and it feels too hard for you, try this! ... show more

I have always preferred a firm mattress. I have a very physical job as a dog walker. I walk between 30-50 miles per week. I do have occasional back pain and restless leg syndrome (RLS). So, I figured that maybe due to my job and just getting older, I should get a medium mattress. I have NEVER purchased a mattress online, but I am on a tight budget. After reading the reviews for this mattress, I decided to go for it. I ordered the 10 inch queen. I was drawn to this mattress because each side is a different firmness. I was hoping one side would be a good fit. We opened it in the morning and it was ready to be used that night. I slept on the less firm side first and found it to be too firm. Thinking I made an error on what side was what, I flipped it the next night. It was even MORE firm, so I had it right initially and flipped it back to the less firm side. This is NOT a Medium to Plush mattress!! It is a Firm to Very Firm mattress! I have been sleeping on it for a couple of weeks now. I love the cooling cover. My back aches are better. But I do find this mattress to be a little too firm. All in all, though, okay mattress for the price. I think it will last a while. *****If you are putting this bed on a platform or metal frame, you will need either a rubber mat or mattress baffles. This mattress is super slippery! My dog injured his foot when he jumped off the bed the first night. The mattress had slid about 4 inches, so he slammed his foot into the exposed metal frame not expecting it to be there ((it was in the middle of the night). Our prior mattress did not slide around like this one so it was unexpected.***** ... show more
