These curtains are exactly as described. They were creased and a little wrinkled out of the packaging, so I threw them in the dryer for about 10-15 minutes. They were better, but still a little wrinkled. I hung them up anyway, and within a day or so the creases and wrinkles were gone. I highly recommend! ... show more

I couldn’t buy fabric for any type of curtain at this price! The only negative was that the color was more ecru than what appeared in the Amazon photo.

These curtians are really pretty, however the color is not as expected. We expected a more true gold color as in the pic, but the curtians are almost a bronze or brown gold. They work for us so we are keeping them, but we wish they were more gold as in the picture.

I have spent numerous calls to Amazon about an order that I placed months ago for 12 sets of curtains and valances. They said they were in stock when I ordered them. Instead of sending 12; they sent 1 set. Upon arrival I determined they looked NOTHING like the picture they represented when hung and proceeded to cancel my order. Amazon told me they could cancel some but not all of the curtain sets because some had already shipped. This could not have been true because these orders kept dribbling into my house. They would send 2 or a few more, but this went on for about a MONTH! Each time I would get a package from this company I called Amazon so they could be sent back and each time I returned the curtains. Now after over 2 months the company says that I still owe them for ONE SET! I DO NOT OWE THEM BECAUSE I HAVE NO CURTAINS AT MY HOUSE AND HAVE RETURNED ALL THAT I WAS SENT! I have tried working through AMEX and with AMAZON and have still been unable to resolve this issue. DO NOT BY ELRENE ATHENA CURTAINS! THEY ARE NOT WHAT THEY ARE PURPORTED TO BE OR IS THIS COMPANY TRUTHFUL IN ANY WAY! A TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! ... show more

PROS: These curtains drape well and the color is uniform. The valances were quite generous in length. CONS: The ad is not accurate. They are listed as "opaque" and the photo does not show the outdoors coming through the window behind them. If you look at my photo you will see they are sheerer than pictured. They would not give privacy at night with lights on unless you doubled or tripled up on the width of them. Second, they are described as "gold" and are labeled as such. I would describe them as more bronze, more subdued than the photo. Last, I do not believe they are durable. I'm using them in the guest bedroom on a canopy bed so they'll be okay, but they would not hold up in a commercial setting, around kids or with frequent use of opening and closing.
