I bought this cane for my FIL with early to medium stage alzheimers to replace his old wood one that was too short. He is 87yo, 180 lbs, 6’0 tall. He has used it for about 1-1/2 months. The good first: This cane would probably be great for someone who still had memory to use the features. Is not good for someone with dementia/alzheimers. The height adjustment and stability of it is awesome. The bad: It has an alarm button (I assume in case you fall?) my FIL fidgets with the button and the alarm siren comes on when we are relaxing together:(. The battery operated light switch is on the top of the handle so gets accidentally pushed. The light tilts, so if you are leaning on the cane wrong it will snap to tilt. Now the light cover came off. It snapped back on, but my FIL couldn’t figure it out. The battery cover comes unsnapped and the batteries fall out occasionally, he cannot fix this either.

I like the cane which I bought for the alarm button feature. The only problem is that the button is in a place where your thumb rests on the handle. This results in a tendency to set off the alarm with your thumb without intending to.

The cane worked well for the first day, after that, sadly, the light cover kept falling off and after one fall the ground, the battery section, I thought was destroyed, crumbled. Thank God, my dad is a miracle worker, and he fixed it. Nevertheless, my mom asked me to buy her another one. 🤷🏾♀️

Bought it for my mother who’s having issues with stability and she loved it, especially the SOS alarm that allows her to call for help in the event of a fall but also allows her to call for someone’s attention when not in an emergency situation instead of shouting.

I liked these so much started giving some to church staff to give others in church family with a need. Unfortuunately I received bad one that only the light worked. Gave them mine and keot the bad one. Sorry, but not able to return, at this time due to health and most likely will not order any more.
