Ibanez did it again. Oh what a complete guitar! It is beautiful to look at and plays even better. I'm a perfectionist and I must say that this suits me well. It's not too heavy and not too light. The edges of the body of the guitar are smoothly curved and will not cut into your forearm during long gigs. The set up right out of the box was perfect. There is no fret buzz. The DiMarzio pickups are well balanced to give just the right tones for all genres. As the owner of two dozen guitars, I could say that this is my absolute favorite. Good: - This guitar is more than I expected. I feel I got my money's worth. - The slim smooth shape of this Ibanez S guitar feels very comfortable against my body. - Wider fretboard than other guitars I've played. More room for sliding. - The pickups sound clean and awesome. Less Good: - The playing action, when it arrived, is kind of high. I'll need to take it to a guitar shop to get a better adjustment. - I'm disappointed that it doesn't have rosewood frets. - A few rough edges. Overall: After feeling this guitar, I wish I'd spent the few hundred more to get the Prestige version. ... show more

When I received the guitar one of the screws that mounts the humbucker was stripped out. This caused the humbucker to be so high that it hit the low E string. I could of fixed it myself, but for the cost of the guitar I think it should be mint when it's received. I returned the item, but was then charged $250.00 restocking fee for a defective item complete bologna! I will never order a high dollar item from Amazon. ... show more

I was so excited to get this $1399.99 guitar from "Ibanez S" . All Great except the middle pick-up had one Magnet stuck-up higher and one caved in little. For $1,399.99 Guitar that had something like this should had been inspected and replaced before shipping? Don't you think? Sound great and looks good too but that one thing is an EYE SORE!. Came with Semi-Hard/Soft Guitar Case with tool and that was good but that "EYE SORE THING?". I had it 5 Stars but it's keep staring at me with the magnet sticking out poking at me! Here is that magnet! first up close pic is the one I got and the next one is from web somewhere. If I take the pic-up out and push it in I might ruin the Pic-up so I'll have to put up with it for as along as I Owen it! ... show more

I really wanted to like this guitar but it fell short in significant areas, so I wound up returning it as it was not really a professional instrument which I was hoping at this price point. The biggest problem with it is that the action can not be lowered to where it needs to be because of the way the guitar is constructed. Some frets were high with a couple of rough edges. Yes, high frets are fixable, but not the action on this particular instrument. I was very disappointed by this. There were some positives. The materials that this guitar is made of are great. The zero point return tremolo is also a step in the right direction, it really works well. Just make the guitar playable and I'll buy it again Ibanez. ... show more
