I love this bowl. I mostly purchased this bowl to be used for salad to take with for my lunch. Even though I have salad in it most of the time it does tend to seal and keep my salad crisp and fresh. I love that it doesn't come lose in my lunch bag and the few times I've had liquid in this bowl it didn't leak even when turned upside down and on it's side. I saw some reviews about the bowl breaking but I hasn't broken on me. I strongly suggest you follow the instructions and do not take the silicone wrap off the bottom of the bowl. The size is exactly what I expect. I use it as lunch box for a huge salad. It works great. Sometimes it’s hard to open it, it seems the air sucks the cap and hard to release. Loved that it was glass. Didn’t even mind that the top was plastic. Terribly minded that it took me over a week to pry the lid off of it. Thankfully it locked AFTER I had eaten my salad at work or I would’ve been one hangry customer! I tried everything to open it. Tried freezing it. Tried running warm water over it. Convinced my husband to try to muscle it open —nothing worked! I came back and read the reviews on Amazon and was even more disgusted with how they calculate their “rating” system. Kicked myself for not reading all of the “it would never open again” reviews! Finally in one last effort before I tossed it, I tried to pry a steak knife between the lid and bowl and miraculously it released! But now I am scared that the knife trick was just luck and don’t know if I ever trust putting the lid on again. Not like I want to carry a steak knife with me wherever I go —and it really seems like an accident waiting to happen!! ... show more
