This Ello mug is well made, nicely finished and fits my hand as if it were designed properly. And, it does keep coffee HOT for more than 3 hours (maybe longer). Pros: Keeps coffee HOT Great value, seriously best bang for your buck I've found Innovative lid actually works, just rinse thoroughly with warm, soapy water and you shouldn't ever have issues Doesn't leak! Cons: The cap/lid needs to have a different texture and/or a larger profile. It's too narrow to get a proper grip. I have to use a rubber pad that's for opening tight lids on jars to get the cap off. Should you purchase? Yes, I don't regret buying this, but for some, the difficulty with removing the cap may be a deal breaker. ... show more

I really enjoy this mug. Great sleek look and truly keeps your piping hot beverage good for at least 3 hours. (Thats as far as I tried it before finishing my morning coffee) I can easily see it being pleasantly hot/warm for 5 hours. Definitely survives 20 min walks in freezing temperatures and is heat concealed so your hands wont get burned at all. The side of my mug color chipped off a small amount half of dime size. I haven't put it in the dishwasher but maybe i dropped it who knows. Very difficult to twist top off while drink is in there but that not necessarily a con, its a PRO bc its spill proof, the drinking hatch it seamless and super easy to click open with one one. haha 4 STARS. The lid has been leak-proof for the past 5 months, and the sliding mechanism feels great. It keeps the drinks cold/hot. The color has not faded, and the mug is generally easy to clean.
