I was in the market to replace my aging Riedel Cabernet glasses, but I really wanted a more modern design. I was willing to pay for what I wanted, but of course I'd prefer to be frugal. I loved these Elixir red wine glasses from the start. After reading the reviews (and just skimming the 5- and 1-star reviews), I became concerned that they might be too fragile. However, given the price I took the plunge and placed my order for 4. After 6 months of usage I still have my original 4 glasses, even though I've inadvertently "dinged" them a bit several times. Certainly I haven't seen an issue with fragility, and if someone thinks they are too "thin" then they don't know what a nice wine glass feels like. All of my glasses are well-constructed and lack any bubbles mentioned in some reviews. I much prefer the look and feel of these glasses and trot them out for company ahead of my Riedels. Once I break one more Reidel I'll be placing an order for another 4 Elixirs! ... show more

Great wine glasses, Great price, good for white or red wine! They Look like they are expensive and the glass is thin not like other cheap wine glasses! These are big crystal wine glasses! I will continue to buy these! I love all Elixar styles!

The shape and volume of the glasses are great. Sturdy and pleasant to look at. Suitable for fragrant white wine but can be used for most any kind of wine excepting perhaps desert. One of the four glasses had a tiny bubble defect. Without my requesting a replacement for the glass with a tiny flaw the company volunteered a replacement after I had noted the flaw in my original review. As promised the "defective" glass was promptly replaced free of charge. Their service and their concern for a quality reputation is exceptional. I will buy other offerings from this company.
