  • AMAZING! But...
Size: 103" Diagonal, 16:9 Style: Short Throw/UST Color: Aeon CLR 2
Bottom line, this screen produces amazing picture quality and images from my Vava Ultra Short Throw Laser Projector. Screen size I have is 103 inches. I have no regrets purchasing this product. But keep in mind that assembly is time-consuming and very tedious. Took around 5 hours to fully assemble and hang on the wall. One thing that bothered me was that the manufacturer gave a link to an assembly video, which contradicted the written instructions that came with the screen. For example, the video showed two people rolling out the screen with no gloves, yet two pairs of gloves are enclosed with the screen, as you cannot touch the screen without wearing gloves. The video showed one person attaching the springs from the frame to the screen, by himself, and starting from one end of the screen, whereas the written instructions clearly indicated that you need two people, each starting at the center of the screen, then attaching the springs from the screen to the metal frame. It is most frustrating to be left confused while trying to figure out the correct way to assemble this. We wound up following ONLY the written instructions. Once all the springs were installed, we had to remove them all and take apart the frame as well and start the whole process over, because it was not lined up correctly. Second time around, it was fine and now we can finally enjoy the screen. I enclosed some images with all lights off and all lights on, and you can see the picture remains bright and crystal clear in any light setting, the reason we needed the AEON CLR 2 screen. We tried a much less expensive white screen initially, but it was quickly returned, as the picture was very washed out. White screens are necessary if you have a home theatre room with no windows or lights, so as to get the best picture. In rooms like mine (the living room, with windows and lights), you need this screen or some type of ALR screen. I was tempted to take off one star for the conflicting directions, but in all honesty, I am very pleased with the product. Just would ask the manufacturer to provide more clear and consistent instructions with this product. And remember, despite some reviewers claiming to have assembled this in 20 minutes or in some short amount of time, I find that very hard to believe. Plan on spending at least a few hours with two people, and if you complete the assembly in less time, that’s great. But don’t think it will take little time and then become frustrated that it is taking longer. Hope you enjoy this magnificent screen as much as I am. ... show more

  • Beautiful, elegant, understated design, makes the UST projection pop!
Size: 103" Diagonal, 16:9 Style: Ultra Short Throw Color: Aeon CLR 3
An ultra short throw projector has already eaten over $2,000 of your video budget, so now’s not the time to go cheap. Yes, you need the matching screen. ;-) I spent a few hours reading on the differences between ALR and CLR screens and that was an excellent use of time, and why I chose this Aeon CLR 3 screen. I don’t have any overhead/ceiling lights to contend with, but this screen’s physical design mitigated the light reflecting off the surface, onto the ceiling, as had been my experience when projecting my UST laser projector only onto the wall. You’ll probably need to lower your projector’s default brightness settings because this screen is crazy efficient. Setup was as easy as the videos demonstrate, but took two of us several hours to complete because you don’t want to F this up by being inattentive or cavalier. Make sure you have plenty of room on each side to sit while assembling the frame and attaching grommets & springs. Parts included 4 wall-mount brackets, but only two are needed because they’re well designed and are only supporting 22 lbs. The included LED strip lights (a stand-alone pair, clearly not manufactured for this specific application) seemed frivolous excess at first, but wow, it’s pretty cool after all! Go ahead, install them. Unfortunately its wiring/connectors box is a bit too large to be hidden behind the screen, so it can only dangle awkwardly 2-3 inches under the frame. I haven’t settled on how to hide it yet. I wish I had installed it off to one corner instead of along the lower frame in the middle. ... show more

  • Great image quality, tedious installation
Size: 103" Diagonal, 16:9 Style: Ultra Short Throw Color: Aeon CLR 3
This was a great improvement over my standard white screen that I used to use with my standard projector. Since I have upgraded to a laser ultra short throw projector I needed an upgrade on the screen. The light rejection on this screen is amazing. I used to have to keep all of the windows covered and lights off in the room just to have a decent picture quality. This results with the elite screens aeon completely change that. I can now get a great picture with lights on and windows open. It’s still better with less light as with all projectors. Great brightness, picture color and clarity. The value is good. I do think the screens are a bit pricey but I could immediately see the difference in a better quality screen. However for the price I would expect an easier assembly. The instructions included are terrible. If you purchase this search for assembly videos on the elite screens website or YouTube. It’s very difficult to tell orientation of parts in the illustrations and the wording is not clear. It’s not a difficult installation once you figure out what you’re supposed to do. The most time consuming portion of the assembly was inserting the metal eyelets into the precut holes in the screen. It felt like there were a thousand of them. Some of them went in very easily and some were very difficult to get into place. I’m not sure if it was size variations in the holes or with the eyelets themselves. Overall, I am very happy with the screen now that the assembly is over. ... show more

  • Amazing quality and best price!
Size: 100-inch / 16:9 Style: Short Throw/UST Color: Aeon CLR 2
Wow! Being a SI zero edge blackdiamond owner, was doubting getting this for my new short throw projector because I had seen one in person but I’m soooo glad y chose to get this Elite screen! Aesthetically it looks amazing just as good as an LED screen turned off and on is absolutely amazing even with a $700 dlls 1080p projector without crazy lumens, improves image exponentially from regular screens. And way way way more cheap in price than SI and equal quality in my experience owning both. ... show more

  • Amazing picture quality at night. Good/Great quality during the day.
Size: 103" Diagonal, 16:9 Style: Ultra Short Throw Color: Aeon CLR 3
The media could not be loaded. Amazing screen for UST projectors at an affordable price. The photos are not as good as in person. The projector I am using is the Optoma Cinemax P2 on the 103” screen. It took me about 1.5 hours to install the screen. Two people are only needed to put it on the wall because it is so long. ... show more
