nice little machine. it cooked the dogs slowly, took 30 to 40 minutes to cook large thick sausages but at least it does not burn them. you set the timer and go about your business. it is not easy to clean though. i use a mild to medium lightly dampened SMALL piece of scotch brite square with little dish soap. and that cleans the round cooking tubes quickly without hurting the stainless steel. every so often i turn on the motor which turns the rollers around so i can clean all the sides. as long as you dont turn on the timer, the rollers will not get hot. the drip pan is a really good thing, it keeps grease or drippings in one place easy to remove the pan and clean that part. that clear plastic lid MUST be kept open because those round cooking tubes put out a ton of heat and they will WARP that clear plastic lid if you leave it closed over the cooking hot dogs. they should of made that lid metal. nice thing is it cooks slowly so there is not much if any grease splatter from the cooking hot dogd. but being able to close the lid would aid in cooking the weiners faster plus stop ANY splatter from happening. i guess any splatter would depend on what susage or hot dogs your cooking. i actually had no splatter occuring ... show more

This was a Christmas gift for my M-I-L. She loves hot dogs so when I saw a review of this on YT, I knew I had to get it for her. It being "used" was not a huge deal, the price wasn't that much better as used so I probably should of just bought it new. It did not appear to have been used though. The unit does work well, we tried it out on some brats on Christmas day and it worked as described. I would not use it on uncooked meat, just don't do it. It's pretty basic, so don't expect high tech. It's OK on the build quality, it's def not commercial, so don't expect that either. She loved it so I call that a success :) ... show more

This was a good intro a hotdog roller. Only thing is we like to buy bun length hot dogs and brats. If you do full length you will have to flip it to cook the edges.

It is a fun little item to have in the kitchen the hotdogs do taste so much better with that snap in the skin. Not very easy to clean the rollers. It is a bit smaller than I thought it was but over all it is worth the money.

Can take a lot of power to use so watch out, will burn the hotdogs most of the time but the problem is usually they feel hot on the outside but inside when you bite into it it feels cold. So you end up keeping it on longer to make sure it's not cold inside and the outside gets a near burnt look and feel. My biggest gripe is the oil trays, they don't fit in very well, it came with 2 a big one which goes under the hotdogs and another small one that I guess goes where the hotdog bun warmer goes, I haven't for the life of me been able to get the smaller one to fit no matter what so I just leave it with the big one which is you bump into it a little will come crashing down so that's a big fail in my eyes. For the price I would say it's a ok investment but it will not give you those 711 style roller hotdogs which was what I wanted, that and it won't fit those small sausage links, they will fall through so don't think it will be the answer to all hotdog style meat, can't say I would buy this again, of I almost forgot so if you put the buns in same time as the hotdogs it will overcook them and you end up with hard buns with a burnt line (yeah for some reason it only burns it on 1 line of the whole bun) so your best bet is to microwave the buns or put them in about halfway of the time the dogs are ready, they still don't come out great but better than burnt ... show more
