This ELENKER upright walker is Top Notch in every way. We received it very quickly. Only took about 15 minutes to assemble and it went together perfectly. My 92 year old dad was so surprised to see it as he had been using a standard walker that was difficult to maneuver and though this one is larger it just moves so easily and gets through the bedroom doorway with no problem . He is 5' 10 and we had no problem adjusting it to fit and work perfectly for him. Now he can walk standing straight up without the risks that bending forward would cause and his balance is much better since there is no struggle to move this walker and his back feels so much better. I looked at a few different types but this one had some shock absorbers on it and was very reasonably priced because many of the other upright walkers cost three times as much. This one gives a lot of bang for the buck. The walker is sturdy and has a nice seat and a backrest. It folds up quickly and easily. We have a Toyota van and an Suv and it fits easily in both. I would think that just lowering the adjustable height would make it fit into a car trunk, We are very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this wonderful upright walker. ... show more

I have very bad vertigo. I tend to fall hard to the left when walking. I have not been able to go for walk for about 3 years. I have walked every day since I received it. No issues. It is heavy duty. This is a great walker. Definitely a large size fold, so if you don't have trunk space, or may not work for you. I have a Honda fit hatchback and it only fits if I have part of my 60/40 split seat down. It's easy to set up, easy to fold up and unfold. It's not too heavy for me, but it's not as lightweight as some walkers. I get lots of compliments and questions about it when I'm out. I prefer this style of walker because it allows me to put my weight on my arms instead of my wrists. I fractured my sacrum, and walking with a regular walker or cane was still very painful. I can tolerate walking with this. It's also more comfortable since I have carpal tunnel, so I don't have to worry about extra weight on my wrists. I like that the handles are adjustable not only in length, but directional position. I prefer to turn the handles slightly inward as it's the most comfortable resting position for ms. The seat is sturdy and comfortable, but if you have broad shoulders, it will be a tight squeeze. I have a long stride, usually, so the seat can get in the way at times and I have to deliberately focus on my steps to avoid hitting my legs on it at times. I really love how easy it is to move around. The wheels are bigger and move with ease. I was walking around uneven city streets with no issues. It's a very stable walker, and I often shop with it and rest things on the seat instead of grabbing a cart or basket and don't have to worry about things falling off. I like that it's easy to hang straps to purses and bags over the arm rests, too. I don't particularly care for the bag that comes with it because it's not 3asy to access without walking around to the front of the walker, but I just drama my own bag over the arm rests and can easily access what I nees. My biggest issue with it is that one of the adjustable handles does not lock into place right enough on my model. Part of the grip portion that is supposed to clamp into position is slightly worn down so the handle is loose. In one of the pictures, you can see one handle turned more to the inside than the other. This is because it is loose and I would have have to hold it in place if I wanted it upright. I could have returned it or contacted support about it, but I needed the walker to use, and since I knew how to fix the issue (sort of) by wrapping the handle, I just did that. Just something to be aware of to check when you get one in the mail, and to be aware that it's a cumbersome product if you do need to return it. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and it has made my life considerably easier. ... show more

I had back surgery 5-months ago and have been having difficulties getting around without a lot of pain. Started physical therapy last week & the PT therapist said I needed to get an upright walker. After examining the ones Amazon carried & looking over the reviews, this Elenker looked like it would do the job for a 250-pound person. The box arrived on the day it was supposed to & in perfect condition. All components were bubble wrapped and the hardware ziplock bagged. My son did the assembly in about 15-minutes & it took a couple of minutes to make a few simple adjustments to fit me. This walker rolls without effort and is able to easily navigate around the house, despite a few tight clearances. The back-wheel brakes contact the tires at two points, were adjusted at the factory and both operate & lock easily. The walker folds by pulling up on a flat strap located on the seat, which automatically releases the catches that lock the walker in place for use. Nifty & very simple. This walker is strong, sturdy, comfortable & well designed. I feel safe and so happy to be comfortably mobile again. ... show more

I own both the original Elenker Euro Style Rollator and the New Elenker Upright Walker. Both of them are outstanding for helping anyone walk easier and better. I have to admit that I had no idea of how much I hunched over when using the Euro Style Rollator until a friend showed me a video she took of me. The same day that I saw it went online looking for and alternative walker. Be aware that Elenker makes a quality products so I was thrilled to find their upright walker at Amazon. This product is very solid. In addition it is the only walker that has adjustable shock absorbers; which come in handy when walking on street pavement. It also helps when walking in grass - I can finally walk around my house and see my backyard "Hooray". I did find that it is best to walk in the grass right after it is mowed. I thrillingly noticed that after just a few walks with the Upright Walker, I found myself standing up taller when I walk around the house with no aids. I do find that I use both walkers. The Euro one whenever I need a quick aid in my house the Upright when I walk outside. Another great point is the Elenker Upright Walker is half the cost of the heavily advertised competitors.
