Description

The Champion Power Equipment 9000-Watt Tri-Fuel Open Frame Inverter Generator with CO Shield® is one of the most innovative products on the market. A feature-packed addition to your RV and a cost-effective power solution, this inverter is smaller, quieter, and BETTER! First, we cut the noise level in half by integrating Quiet Technology digital components used in more advanced inverters, then we created an efficient mechanical design to decrease the overall footprint and weight by 20 percent. Operate your Tri-Fuel generator on gasoline, propane, or natural gas and safely switch fuels with our patented fuel selector dial. Using natural gas, the generator produces 9000 starting watts and 5875 running watts. To connect this generator to your home’s natural gas source, this generator includes a 25-foot NG hose kit, which includes a female quick connect end, a female flare fitting end and an NPT male adapter. Using gasoline, the generator produces 9000 starting watts and 7250 running watts, and will run for 14 hours at 25% load when the 4.3-gallon fuel tank is full. When using a 20-pound propane tank, it produces 9000 starting watts and 6525 running watts, and will run for 12 hours at 25% load. A 6-foot propane hose with a built-in regulator is included. With a 1.2-quart oil capacity (included 10W-30) and a low oil shut-off sensor, this inverter operates at an ultra-quiet 72 dBA from 23 feet, which is a bit louder than normal speech. All the outlets have covers for protection and include two 120V 20A GFCI protected household duplex outlets (5-20R), a 120/240V 30A locking outlet (L14-30R), a 120/240V 30.2A outlet (14-50R), plus a 12V automotive-style outlet, and a handy dual port USB adapter you can use to power your phone, laptop, or similar device. Buy this EPA certified compliant generator with confidence – Champion Support and our nationwide network of service centers will back up your purchase with a 3-year limited warranty and FREE lifetime technical support. CO Shield technology monitors the accumulation of carbon monoxide (CO), a poisonous gas produced by engine exhaust when the generator is running. If CO Shield detects unsafe elevated levels of CO gas, it automatically shuts off the engine. CO Shield is not a substitute for an indoor carbon monoxide alarm or for safe operation. DO NOT allow engine exhaust fumes to enter a confined area through windows, doors, vents or other openings. Generators must ALWAYS be used outdoors, far away from occupied buildings with engine exhaust pointed away from people and buildings. Meets the requirements of ANSI/PGMA G300-2018.

  • Great Setup for Outages and Quiet Too
Got this to be ready for the next hurricane or power outage, and so far I’m really happy with it. Setup was easy right out of the box and everything worked as expected. One of my favorite things about it is that it’s tri-fuel. I’m currently only using gas and propane, but having the option to hook up natural gas down the road is a big plus. It adds flexibility for future upgrades without needing a different unit. It’s also an inverter generator, which means it puts out clean power(pure sine wave) that’s safe for sensitive electronics. That was really important for me since I’ll be running everything from a fridge to computer gear. I also added a soft start to my house AC and tested it with this generator. It handled it with no problem so that was a big win. Compared to my old generator, this one is so much quieter. It’s a huge improvement when you’re running it for long stretches or overnight. If you’re looking for something flexible, quiet, and reliable, this one checks all the boxes. ... show more

  • My Champion 9000W Tri-Fuel Inverter Generator (Model #201176)
I recently purchased the 9000W Electric Start Tri-Fuel Inverter Generator (Model #201176), and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This generator has exceeded all my expectations in every possible way. Here's why: With a 9000W starting capacity, this generator effortlessly powers all my household essentials during testing. From running the refrigerator, powering lights and electronic devices, it handles everything without breaking a sweat. The tri-fuel capability is a game-changer, offering the flexibility to use gasoline, propane, or natural gas. Even my Lennox 2.5 ton AC was able to start without a soft/hard kit. Of course other breakers were off and only the essential ones were on. The electric start feature is incredibly convenient, eliminating the hassle of manual pull-starts. One of the standout features of this model is its quiet operation in eco mode. While the generator is only quiet in this mode, this is to be expected given its powerful 9000W capacity. The inverter technology significantly reduces noise levels when eco mode is activated, making it suitable for residential areas. Additionally, the generator is remarkably fuel-efficient, ensuring longer run times without frequent refueling. The design of this generator is exceptionally user-friendly. The control panel are simple and provides the info you need, with clearly labeled switches and indicators. The build quality of the 9000W Electric Start Tri-Fuel Inverter Generator is outstanding. It feels solid and durable, capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions and rough handling. The wheels and handle make it easy to move around. Conclusion The 9000W Electric Start Tri-Fuel Inverter Generator (Model #201176) is an exceptional piece of equipment that combines power, versatility, and ease of use in a robust package. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a dependable power solution. ... show more

  • Seems to be a good sound unit for the average home at an affordable price. Safety first. Not a toy!
It was here on time, packaged very well so no surprises when opening. It was a breeze to assemble what had to be put together to use, wheels, handle, and make sure to take the (4) bolts from the bottom that will let the motor make use of the motor mount movement. I plan on trying to use only propane as I have a 250 gal tank that only supplies a gas fireplace in the living room. I want to keep things simple and reliable. However if I had to use regular gas it’s nice to know I have the option push come to shove. This unit will be used for the home when we have power outages. Mostly few and far between but when we have one it’s usually for several days. It’ll be plugged into a transfer switch from the main breaker panel that will operate a refrigerator, freezer, numerous lights and receptacles, the fan for propane fireplace. Using another installed transfer switch separately from previous mentioned I can run my deep well pump and hot water heater so as to get a quick shower. Well and hot water are ran on a separate circuit and will power nothing else when in use as a hot water heater demands a lot of constant wattage. Potable water will be drawn up and stored and used as needed and then refilled as needed with the water heater switched off then be plugged back into the main house transfer switch. The pump will only be needed once a day so with that said it isn’t a big deal todo the changes. It all been tried and works well.I must finish my break in period and do the oil change hopefully before hurricane season starts even in Western NC. As we experienced around this time last year and now we have Erin nipping at our heals. I still have a small generator I’ve used now for the past 25 years or so with good results powering just the basic essentials and have kept it going even using regular gas and needed additives and a lot of TLC to the engine. Im getting older and health isn’t as good as in the past so electric start and dependability is much preferred. Not wanting to spend thousands of dollars for a whole house generator to sit there to be used for possibly (2) weeks out of the year this seems to be a great alternative as my main concern is freezer and refrigerator and water and simple creature comforts. I have no desire to listen to the thing running 24 hours a day. However it is impressively quite for its horsepower. As an additional concern it’s not to be considered a light weight unit. It’s lighter than some near the same wattage bet still to heavy to grab up and go with however it is easily rolled around using the handle, and the tires are adequate for the load on a some what hard surface. I’m impressed and happy so far with it and would recommend it to anyone needing a power supply for power outages. ... show more

  • Easy to start, works as expected.
I love the fact that it is Tri-fuel, meaning I can plug straight into the NG line on my back porch (which is installed and intended for a grill). I also really appreciate that the generator came with everything needed to plum the generator to the existing, aforementioned NG line on the back porch, including a quick connect. It's an inverter generator, so I was expecting it to be a little more quiet until heavily loaded, but all-in-all, I like the generator. #sweepstakes ... show more

  • Very pleased with the purchase and recommend without hesitation.
It appears well made and came with a good operting manual. There are few portable generators with an inverter that are tri fuel. Most do not run on natural gas unless they are modified wihich will affect the warranty. It runs as it should on natural gass. I've been very pleased with the product. It works great and highly recomment it. It seems a bit heavy and is not noisy IMO. ... show more
