Features
- TURN CODE INTO REAL-WORLD RESULTS Follow 22+ guided lessons to make LEDs blink, read temperature and distance, move servo and stepper motors, control an LCD and respond to joystick or IR input; ideal for a family weekend build, homeschool unit, coding club or STEM classroom
- MORE PROJECT VARIETY IN ONE ORGANIZED KIT Includes the UNO R3 controller, LCD1602 with pre-soldered header, breadboard power module, ultrasonic and DHT11 sensors, joystick, IR receiver and remote, SG90 servo, stepper motor, relay, DC motor, fan blade, displays, LEDs, buttons, resistors and jumper wires
- START WITHOUT SOLDERING Plug-in modules, a solderless breadboard and the pre-soldered LCD help beginners focus on wiring, code and testing; the illustrated component list makes it easier to find each part and move from one lesson to the next
- LEARN THE LOGIC, THEN CREATE YOUR OWN Use Arduino IDE and the included example code to understand digital input and output, analog sensing, timing, motor control and display functions, then change thresholds, speeds and sequences for alarms, environmental monitors, reaction games and motion projects
- CLEAR SETUP SUPPORT FOR FIRST-TIME BUILDERS Download the latest tutorial and code, select the UNO board and correct computer port, check component polarity and breadboard rows, and keep power-module input at 9V or below; younger learners should work with an experienced adult
Description
ELEGOO STEM kits provide all the necessary components, sensors, wires, and boards for you to get started with programming, learning electronics, and creating IoT projects. We strive our best to make STEM education easy to learn and accessible to the young generation. Chris, the founder of ELEGOO, found out that most enterprises in the STEM industry focused on the hardware of open-source electronics and did not have tools to create a complete product by combining electronic hardware and structural shells. We have excellent R&D team, constantly upgrading and improving products, and after-sales service team for quick support. 100% compatible with Arduino, ELEGOO's kits are best-practice for beginners who have no appropriate technical tools to learn about electronics. Compatible with Arduino Software, Sensors and Codes Based on Arduino, an open-source platform used for building electronics projects. It consists of both a physical circuit board (often referred to as a microcontroller) and a piece of software, or IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that runs on your computer, used to write and upload computer code to the physical board. ELEGOO UNO R3 boards are designed for electronics learning and can be programmed using Arduino IDE The controller board can interact with included components such as LEDs, sensors, displays, buzzers, motors and buttons for a wide range of hands-on electronics projects. By connecting the controller board with a personal computer via a USB cable and uploading to the board, users can create digital devices and interactive objects that can sense and control objects in the physical and digital world like robots or even honest fortune-telling machines. For this ELEGOO Super Starter Kit, we provide 22+ lessons, introducing the basic setting of the programming software, the working principles of the sensors to enable the UNO board to control the sensors. It’s a good choice and kit for kids, teens, adults or whoever is obsessed with electronics, programming or robotics to take their first steps on electronics journey! This Kit is suitable for 8-year-old and up. Younger kids should be under supervision and guidance of adults. 74HC595 is a Serial to Parallel Converter which has eight outputs and three inputs that you use to feed data into it a bit at a time. This chip makes it a little slower to drive the LEDs (you can only change the LEDs about 500,000 times a second instead of 8,000,000 a second) but it's still really fast, way faster than humans can detect, so it's worth it. 74HC595 shift register is a type of chip that holds what can be thought of as eight memory locations, each of which can either be a 1 or a 0. To set each of these values on or off, we feed in the data using the 'Data' and 'Clock' pins of the chip. The 4-digit 7-segment display uses multiplexing to control multiple digits efficiently with fewer I/O pins. Because each digit is refreshed rapidly, all four digits appear continuously illuminated to the human eye. It can be used to display numbers, time, counters, scores, and other numerical information. With the included components, you can build projects such as a digital counter, timer, clock, or electronic dice while learning how multiplexed displays work. Stepper motors are DC motors that move in discrete steps. They have multiple coils that are organized in groups called "phases". By energizing each phase in sequence, the motor will rotate, one step at a time. With a computer controlled stepping you can achieve very precise positioning and/or speed control. For this reason, stepper motors are the motor of choice for many precision motion control applications. The included ULN2003 driver board provides a convenient interface between the controller board and the unipolar stepper motor, allowing the motor coils to be driven in sequence for controlled positioning.
