this is my second kid's robot from Elegoo. they have an excellent product. the parts are clear to use, there is a spare for most of the parts. this is a great build to do with a kid and the robot is realy cute and works great.

I purchased the kit for my two daughters (9 and 11) and they assembled it by themselves with minimum guidance by just following the directions included with the kit. The Arduino board comes pre-programmed. The issue that we ran into was when we tried to go through the individual lessons. The moment you upload the blink test from Arduino IDE the existing program is erased. This is normal BUT the full program found in the last lesson that should restore the pre-programmed functions shows it's too large to fit in the available memory. It took some tinkering and finally had to change a variable type in the program to decrease complied program size to fit in the available memory. The visual programming (Scratch style) does not fully work and it gets stuck in one code line or another so it's not functional anymore. All in all it's a good learning platform with some issues.

This is without a doubt the worst gift we have ever given to a child! Instructions are almost impossible ….. software requires updates but updates are unavailable ….. (we have adults and engineers here trying to figure it out —- might be headed to the trash can soon!)

Bought this for my niece to introduce her to robotics. She was able to but it together herself and program it. This is great for a teenager to put together.

It was fun to assemble with easy to follow directions. I used this as a little time filler for fun. As an 8th grade stem student it was fun little project for me. I would love to get another kit like this. However I was a little confused with the wires but I figured it out.

I got this for my nephew and he enjoyed putting it together and watching it follow the path. He took it to school for show and tell and the kids loved that it would follow the lines of the huge gym floor!

My husband built it with his younger brother. Overall it is a cool toy, some design flaws, but it is awesome how it is build and can be manually changed. Pros: - all parts are really sturdy - cool app to control car via bluetooth - decent design Cons: - bottom is not protected, worried cables from down there will wear off - attaching the digital display was odd, as there are chips there and screwing bolt harder might damage it. - badly designed instruction on enormous single piece of sheet. I guess something like a book would be better.
