The appearance is tacky for my kitchen so I throw a small kitchen rug over it, and it’s far more comfortable with shoes on. I stand and clean the dishes, hand washing, for about an hour during the night and find myself constantly shifting my weight. It stays pretty cool so I often wear socks while standing on it, but it functions as it should. Lately I’ve been having nerve problems with my knee and it’s a result of standing on hardwood floors. Shifting my weight is a byproduct of that pain, but this mat actually helps offset those pressure points in my knees and hip. I could see myself in my garage working with this underneath me, and it would more accurately fit the aesthetic. It’s a bit large, but for someone reaching from sink to counter and moving constantly will benefit from its size; the downside being the angled cut-offs which transition to the floor, though those angles sides are not very significant - taking up only inch or two of surface-area around the outside. It has not slipped and has pretty good traction. I’m pretty satisfied with it so far, but wish I could select a more suitable pattern to match my appliances. Regardless of appearance, it’s purely functional and fits the role of reducing stress on my body.

This mat is pretty big – The perfect width for the double sink where I wash my dishes by hand, and it's also deep enough so I don't have to worry about stepping off the back. My heels sink into it just a little, and it has a bit of an 'aw' factor vs. the hard floor. But It feels reasonably firm, so I'm hoping it will hold up. I like that it's phthalate-free. I'm chemically sensitive, but I get no whiff of chemical smell or off-gassing from this – And typically that's a legitimate concern with plastic/memory foam items. This concern actually kept me from buying something like this earlier. The edges are bevelled. It may have bent a smidge in transit, so that the edge on one side don't lie completely flat against the floor. This is a non-issue for me in terms of tripping, but you might keep an eye out for that if anyone elderly will be using it. Overall this is pretty great. I had some soreness in my back tonight when I started the dishes, and I think it actually got better just in the half hour I was standing on this mat. I may get another to put in front of the counter where I do my prep work. In the meantime I will probably move it between the two spots as needed, because it's noticeably better having this underfoot. I also used this to sit on while digging old carpet staples out of the hardwood floor in one of my bedrooms. It may not have been the ideal solution, but I was surprised how well it worked. (Meaning I was able to stand and walk freely without back pain after an hour working on the floor, which wasn't the case with the previous impromptu cushion 'solution' I tried...) I kind of wish I had something like this for a yoga mat.

At first, I wasn't too sure about this only because I've never had a mat quite like this and I was a little unstable standing on it. To me, it's similar to standing on a yoga mat. So, if you have unstable ankles, this might take a little to get used to. After using it for a little while, I do really enjoy having this in front of the stove. It really does make standing and cooking a lot less laborious and is very comfy. If you splash a little grease or food on it, it wipes off very easily as well since it is waterproof. It has a slight step up so just pay attention and you won't trip on it. It is beveled so that helps. Overall, I love it and is a great addition for my kitchen. Now I'm ready for those long and messy holiday cooking sessions!

This anti-fatigue mat is AWESOME! It is well-made, and very cushioned. I've been wanting one of these for a while, and was so excited to find this one! - It has a beveled edge, so less chance of tripping on the edge of the mat. Plus, the edge of the mat will not curl up. - Nice large size. You can even have two people side-by-side standing on it (I probably wouldn't do this while food prepping/cooking, because I move around a lot, but certainly for washing and drying dishes :) ) - Very comfortable and well-cushioned! And it holds its shape well. I'm looking forward to many hours of use without the dreaded leg or foot pain from being on my feet for extended periods of time! - It is waterproof, and very easy to clean! - It stays in place with no slipping, but can still be easily repositioned to another area if needed (ex: from near the counter for prepping, to near the sink for dish-washing). - Great Value! I work in manufacturing, and stand on mats like this daily when I’m in one place for a long time. This is much more comfortable than the ones we use at work, but I can’t foresee myself carting this back and forth to work. However, with the holidays approaching, and long hours preparing food for family and friends will be much more bearable standing on this mat. The construction looks high quality, feels great to stand on, and there’s no chemical odor that you need to air out before you put it where you want it. The pattern on top is superior to the mats in our kitchen already, and looks like slipping won’t be an issue. My kitty also seems to like it!

So this mat covers a large area, its not too big that will take up a lot of space but just enough to cover the area that I usually get messy in. I love that this is made of easy to wash material, whenever im using the blender i somehow get sauce everywhere, its a talent. So the kitchen floors are naturally nasty by the end of the day and what i love about this mat is that i could just brush my mop over it and it easily gets cleaned!

Standing can be so difficult for long period of times and I am always searching for a better anti-fatigue mat for the kitchen sink - lots of dishes to do every day. I've never had one that is 3/4" thick and I will never order one again that isn't! What great comfort and stability I have standing on this cushioned anti-fatigue mat, and I can stand longer without taking so many breaks to rest my back.
