  • Game runs well even on low end hardware
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
The game isn't bad - its a good, polished Battlefield game. The game is pretty well optimized, and I get 60 FPS at 1080 with an ancient Phenom II x4 and a GTX 660TI with a mix of medium and low. The single player is pretty unique, but it is extremely short. It does a good job of teaching you how to use the vehicles for multiplayer, as one campaign is focused on tanks, while another campaign is all about airplanes. I'm giving it a star off because multiplayer can be really bad at times. Spawn locations are really wonky, and you can easily be spawn camped. Some weapons are unbalanced and others are lacking bullet drop. Overall, it feels like a more arcadey Battlefield 4. The weapons are extremely modern and the game plays more like a WWII shooter, but its still fun. Over time it should be patched up - it took Battlefield 4 over a year to get to the level of polish it currently has. ... show more

  • Huge download on Origin, but decent game
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
I've only played this game for 2 days, but I like it so far. The only con I see is the download. What happened to the days of having a DVD or two in a case with the game's installation files on it? Or, since games are much larger in size today, put them on flash drives! If you purchase this, be warned: You will have to download the file through Origin and not Amazon. The total download size is 40 GIGABYTES. On my connection, it took 2 full days to download. If you can deal with that, then buy the game! Gameplay seems to be good, and the Origin client is not that bad once you learn it (I still prefer the Steam client). I'll update this review if I have anything to add after playing for a few more days. ... show more

  • another good BF title
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
It's fun, it looks great. What else do you want? They did a great job with weapon balance and giving it a WWI feel coming from BF4 which was decidedly modern. No more lock ons, very little in the way of indirect fire. Very refreshing. They worked on the party system and it's now easy to join a game with friends. Many improvements over previous generations. A few quibbles: 1) I had crashes with the most recent Catalyst drivers (16.2 maybe?) Had to roll back as it was getting DX11 errors. 2) The autobalancer is worse than ever. Presumably this is due to the party system but not uncommon to go a whole round down 5 or more players on a 64 player server 3) The server browser seems to not give you all results but some subset and it is hard/impossible to get more results. None the less, the game is fun. ... show more

  • Like for example I could run Mirror's Edge catalyst on ...
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
It's a decent game but you don't get anywhere near owning the full game there is a lot of DLC or a season pass to buy for nearly the price of a full game. Classic EA. It is a gorgeous game and the system requirements are as usual exaggerated. Like for example I could run Mirror's Edge catalyst on my budget AMD rig with just 1 GB of video memory it said 2 GB of video memory minimum. On the same rig I could also run the beta to star wars battlefront. The minimum CPU listed for bf 1 is the i5 6600k. I have the locked non K i5 6500 and I get greater than 60 fps on avg on Ultra settings. I haven't played a battlefield game since bad company 1 or 2 on xbox 360 years ago so I'm having a frustrating time online. ... show more

  • Great game, but last EA game I'll be purchasing.
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
Given the current controversy over BF5 and having taken a hard look at BF1, I think it best to stop my purchases of EA games from here on out. I prefer historical accuracy over political agendas being attached to video games. Keep the games pure and true to history and the fans will buy the games. Advance an agenda like EA/Dice have been doing and suffer the consequences. ... show more

  • Great game, lots of fun
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
I am having a lot of fun playing this with friends. I like the solo campaign as well. There are a lot of good FPS players out there that play this, I am not one of them lol I die a lot and wonder how these other guys see me so fast and have such good aim, it's so crazy. I still have fun even though I suck at it. My friends and I love it. You will see people say stupid things in the chat on the multiplayer, but I just ignore them. It's a game, you're supposed to have fun and thats what I do. ... show more

  • False hope
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
I was not cool. I was expecting to download the game. No game to download but does want for me to join a membership for cost. Waste of money just to have them mail me that stupid link. Won’t do that again.

  • Not a real test.
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
I only played about 30 minutes of this so far. Can't pull myself off Skyrim remaster. Hence not a real fair evaluation, Looks nice though. What is with the code on a piece of paper and in a DVD box with no DVD. It works but the packaging is sort of overdone.
