I doubted it would work given its price point, but was very pleasantly surprised. I am using it remove high spots on stucco siding and it reliably takes about 1/8th inch per pass. I wish they made a wider model to have a 10 or 12 inch pass rather than 6.

This is a pretty aggressive tool designed to plane off surface coatings from concrete. It's not too heavy and the dual handles are comfortable. An on/off switch with lock is located on the right side handle. It is not variable speed. The power cord is a very generous length. It comes with a sturdy storage case. An array of rotary cutting blades are on the bottom surface. Depth of cut is set with a thumbscrew which positions the elevation of the front guide relative to the cutters/tool base. That guide can rock side to side so you have be careful to keep your cuts flat. In use: The tool max rpm is listed as 4000. It doesn't feel out of control when powered up, and it will pull as it cuts. It has difficulty cutting on slightly uneven surfaces, which may leave areas untouched. Adjustment and multiple passes may be neccesary. Where it makes contact, it removes material. Most of the waste is ejected out of a rear port on the tool base. A driveshaft extends off the side where another exposed cutter can be mounted to get into tight corners. All in all this is a well built tool. It feels sturdy and has plenty of power. Application seems limited to very flat surfaces, and it does have a bit of a learning curve to operate it efficiently. If you have field conditions where this is appropriate it can be an effective tool to finish your project.

I am extremely impressed with this wall planer! I was skeptical at first. When I saw the helical design and carbon-tip teeth, I expected that they may not last long, but it's a very slow rotation and a higher torque engine which helps the teeth not bite, grab, and jerk but have a slow cutting process. The helical design incrementally brings the teeth into the cut which in this case saves the teeth and has a remarkably smooth finish. While the durability seems good, this planer does come with an extra set of blades. They are modular so individual blades can be replaced without replacing the whole set. Overall, this is a good quality, easy to use, hard-working tool that with make my life easier.
