As stated in the headline, its range is not the advertised 10km, it is closer to 10miles! its speed for me (14 year old child Weighing 90lbs ) is a whopping 15mph on flat ground, which is crazy! Its a little slow to start up which is good (So you don't fall off). But not the same for braking, If you brake fully and aren't ready, you will be FLUNG off! The remote range is up to 20 feet and the wheels (red version) are a nice glossy red that looks cool on the street. My son like this Electric Skateboard very much. The design is great, very effective surface grip and slide holding handle. The motor on wheels are more silent. My son enjoys the smooth ride on smooth serface but it gets little bumpy on a rough surface. So far, my son has not tried much to test the battery life. Suggestion for product improvement : The remote control can be designed to be smaller and the motor assembly should be easy fixable like a plug and play so that we it can be converted to regual skateboard when needed. ... show more

Could be more durable, could get better range, could go faster, not a great board. Not even close to a boosted board. But at 180$, this is a steal in my opinion. It could be better in lots of ways, but as a beginner board, it is great, and even as a non-beginner, its still good value. The biggest complaint I have about this board is that sometimes the delay between controller-motor action can be upwards of .5 a second. This does not happen often, maybe 1/25th of the time you are riding, but can still be problematic in certain situations. ... show more

    • Like Others—Dead Battery After First Full Charge
I really really wanted to like this board, and was hoping that other people who commented on the Battery dying just got lemons. However, as this is for my son....I wanted to double check the battery to make sure it would work. After the first full charge of both the remote and board...I powered the board up and synced the controller. The wheels ran pretty quick to my delight, and that quickly turned to rage when the battery died and refused to turn back on. Unlike others, my board will not even turn back on when plugged in. I am waiting for my replacement via Amazon and hope I just got a lemon (I will follow up once receiving it.). I’m so glad I checked the board before gifting it to my son for XMas. Daughter loves it so far. My son wants one also. I think it should last longer. There is no way you could go 10 miles with it. I live in a fairly flat area and my kids went .5 miles to the end of my road and back 2 times and it was dying. So basically a novelty
