You got $2000 lying around for a scooter? No? Me neither. However, going way into the budget end can result in wasting what few bucks you spent. I saw a few parents dropping off/picking up their kids at the school mine goes to while I sat in my car daily in forever traffic. When I saw a parent go in and out in less time than it took me to move 3 cars ahead, I knew I was done being an idiot. More howevers - I'm between 220 and 225 lbs, depending on how well I've refrained from cramming food down my throat on a daily basis. I can't get into a crap scooter that will crumble at the first bump I hit. So I bought a ninebot for my kid and this one for me. I can't remember the name of the model. The one that goes "19 MPH". It's really 18.6, but it's legally marketable with the power of rounding up. Anywho, I was a bit ticked off that it didn't include the charger (bought one and the seller sent one also). It drives pretty quietly and has a long lasting battery life. I haven't taken the time to intricately calculate the actual distance or battery life it claims to have (25 miles or 40 minutes) but it's probably not far from the advertised. Having solid rubber tires is a big plus, in my opinion. I'm sure these would be more expensive than pneumatic tires when it comes time to replace, but it'll be worth it. Less maintenance. I tested the headlight at night once and then remembered that only a real idiot would drive this thing at night in a big city close to a damn main street. The headlight isn't the brightest. It has a ring bell in case you need to alert others that you are absolutely not interested in any form of intimate relationship whatsoever. I don't use it. My kid tried to ring it last week (5 months after purchasing) and the lever that dings the bell broke. I didn't even care for it. This is a solid purchase with it's bit of design flaws but comparing what this can do over name brands with the same specs, you're looking at $800+. Easy. Battery life is horrible, it said 20-30miles long range scouter but I am lucky to get 8-10 miles.

    • Rough ride, but still worth the cost
I bought this thinking that the max weight was 300lbs and turns out its 264lbs., but it still works for me. Also, you can't put air in theses tires from what I can tell. They'll probably need to be completely replaced, and that brings to the next tire issue, not a very comfortable ride for adults, very bumpy. If I could buy and add better tires, and ya didn't kind of falsely advertise this scooter, then you would have gotten a 5 star rating. It doesn't have a 30 mile range. It has 18-22 mile range. In spite of everything, this seems to be a good little scooter. Fairly, lightweight and made for durability. Also, keep in mind there is no free return!!! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is solid! Good programming! The take off is stellar! Good speed control and I love the cruise control feature… I will say having everything as far as options located in the middle of the stearing handles makes it a bit difficult to navigate while in motion, ie. cruise control… other than that? 15 thumbs up! ... show more

Its a scooter. Got it for my teenage son to ride back and forth to school. Tires are solid and rough(no cushion), throttle is fragile, breaks are good, frame is strong, fenders break easily. Should be used by more responsible young adults.

We bought three of these for our kids ages 10, 13,15 for Christmas. They are speedy! Easy to assemble, easy to ride. They are big enough for my husband and I to ride…and we do.

    • has to be "walked" to start.
The scooter was easy to put together and had 4 bars when we turned it on. but when we tried to ride it, it didn't go. the unit turned on, I pushed the accelerator, and nothing happened. I've been back and forth with the seller about returning it, since it clearly didn't work. He tells me to give it a full charge of 4 hours, but still the same problem. Now he tells me you have to walk it up to 3mph before you can push the accelerator for it to go. That's like pushing a car down the street to get the engine to start. My family has other scooters and none of them have that odd quirk. Also, it is not mentioned in the video or the instructions. Be wary of this before you consider buying. ... show more

    • Cute but be warned for younger toddlers
This is a cute scooter but not what I expected. I liked that it came with a removable seat. That feature gave me the impression that it would be suitable for my 18 month old and it would grow with her and be used later on w/o the seat. However the gravity only steering is more suitable for older toddlers. I would have not purchased this scooter had I known the wheels only turned using body weight. I still gave it a 4 star rating as the scooter is as advertised and really cute. It is mainly my fault for not fully reading the description. However the description should also be updated and state gravity only steering in the title description, it currently does not. We are keeping the scooter since baby still enjoys being pushed around on it and will use when older. ... show more
