  • Don't spend your money or time on this!
The media could not be loaded. First off I was a bit surprised that the item was a different color than the one in the advertisement. Color is no big deal though it's about function when it comes to a tool like this and let me tell you it doesn't work with any consistency. All directions even though they were poor, were followed the best they could be. The device was charged, the tie wire was fed in, and for roughly an hour the device was tried to make work properly outside with plants with no avail. So it was brought back in, and after many attempts it was finally made to function but only about 10% of the time. There is a small metal contact at the very front of the device that the wire must make contact with while the device closes. If contact is not made here properly the motor will not engage. The tie wire also is cut at the same time that the motor engages. If the wire doesn't cut correctly or gets jammed up (which happens a lot) the motor will not have enough power to twist the wire free. All of this is shown in the video I provided here. Sorry about the kitty running around and me in my socks but it is late and after hours of working with this thing and several cuts it was decided that the product doesn't work as described and has no consistency. With all of that said I contacted the company and told them about my issues and requested a refund and return shipping instructions. I got a response saying that they ship these all over Europe and they work well but they will send me some free wire if I will just keep it for a couple days and enjoy how much time it saves me. At this point is has wasted over a day of my time and I don't want any free gifts of wire for a device that doesn't work because that has no benefit to me. I also have no idea what Europe has to do with anything...Maybe they only work there and not in the USA? They also told me that if I still wanted a full refund they would be happy to do just that. I sent back a message letting them know I want directions to send it back as they have already marked it that a return was approved but they have not sent directions. I do not want gifts for something that clearly doesn't work. I would rather have my $150+ back so I can buy something that actually does what it's suppose to for my farm. Instead I get another response telling me that they will be happy to refund half my money if I keep it because shipping to china is very expensive and they say that is where it came from. Of course this is implying that if I am to get a refund that I will have to ship it to China to do so. My records say it was sent to me from New York, so this all feels like a scam to me. I really just want my money back and to send them back this hunk of junk. The case has now been reported to Amazon for review. Do not buy this device or from this seller! ... show more

  • Mom Loves It
I picked this up for my Elderly mother to help her manage her rose bushes. Once I showed her how to use it she had no issues at all, being older I have to be careful to not throw too much technology at her at once. She like it and I like that she likes it. 5 STARS

  • Until you have it.
This is a tool you don't know you need until you have it. It sped up the process of tying my crepe myrtle plants, rose bushes and tomato plants in half the time. Very easy to use.

  • Neat device for tying plants!
The media could not be loaded. I've been looking at devices like this for years for my garden, but never actually decided to purchase one until I saw this particular wireless electric unit. I ran out of zip ties a few days before I saw the listing for this device and so I decided to give this device a try instead of buying more zip ties. I have allot of vining plants in my garden which need to be tied, I've used twist ties, twine, clips and most recently I've been using a ton of zip ties which actually work great. A few of the types of plants I need to tie up every year include, grapes, passion fruit, tomatoes, cucumbers, Akiba, jasmine and some types of climbing roses. Anyways after trying the unit out, I found some things I liked about the unit and some things I didn't. I liked how fast it twists and cuts the ties when it's working properly. To make the device actually function you have to put the device around the branch or vine, then clamp down and pull the tie a bit around the plant before clamping down again which makes the device twist and cut the twist tie. Onto the issues with the device, the spool of twist tie seemed to keep on escaping the spool and when I tried to solve that the spool of ties became too tight. I suggest making some kind of cover to go around the twist tie spool to prevent the escape of the twist tie. Another issue was that sometimes the twist tie would bend or just not want to be fed into the part that grabs hold of the strand of twist tie, which happened many times. I almost decided to stop using the device and go to the local store to buy more zip ties because the device was getting tiresome. Overall the device is pretty neat when it's functioning properly and seems well made, but has issues that could be resolved in a future model. ... show more

  • Never got it to work consistently
I am constantly tying tomato vines in my garden and thought this was going to be a lifesaver. Unfortunately I’ve never gotten it to work consistently. It seems like I may need to watch a few YouTube videos to understand how it functions. I think of myself as being reasonably mechanical minded, but I just couldn’t get this figured out. The instructions were not much help. ... show more

  • Need to find a YouTube video to learn how to use it
I like the concept of this product and the carry case, however, I spent a half an hour trying to figure out how to use it and was unsuccessful. The instructions are mediocre.

  • Nice gadget if you need to do a lot of this type of work such as with grape vines and arbors
I bought this for use in the garden, for cucumbers and tomato plants. I bought it because it is a cool little gadget... did I need it? No. The directions are a bit lacking but once I figured it out, I was rather impressed with how it works, and you can tie much more way faster. :) If you are an 'at home gardener' you probably don't need this, the little reels of wire with a built-in cutter for $7 will be more cost effective. I am going to use it on my wild growing native vines and honey suckles to see if I can get creative with those but for most folks the cost and use level will justify the buy. ... show more
