Fabric is thick enough to keep feet cozy without the heating element. I have not tried them with the app. That would be helpful when wearing them with long pants to adjust the heat. I ordered a medium, I wear a women’s size 9.5 shoe and there was plenty of room in the foot and the knee high is almost too tall for my calves but also quite tight acting nearly as a compression sock but also to keep the weight of the battery from pulling the sock down. The battery seems to last quite a long time and is relatively lightweight.

I tested these heated socks out at an all-day trip to an amusement park. The outside temp was mild (around 50F), so it wasn't winter temps, but cold enough to feel good in my thin and airy running shoes. I had them on high for a while but with them against my bare feet it was a bit too hot, so I lowered them to medium. The batteries lasted a few hours (not all day). But I bet if I had them on low they'd last a bit longer. The challenge is that low isn't that warm. So I'd say to expect several hours of warmth, but definitely not all day. I used the app as well which was nice but probably not necessary. The socks are tall and bulky where the battery and button are, so it's a pain to roll your pantleg up high enough to press the button and see the indicator lights. So for this reason, the app comes in handy. But realistically, you can click the button through your pants just as easily (although you'll still need to peek every so often to check battery level). Plus, you need to have the socks turned on in order to use the app, even if you have the heat turned off in the app. Otherwise, if they're completely off, you can't turn them on in the app. I think that this "standby" mode might be part of the battery drain. After walking a lot at the amusement park, my feet got a couple of sore spots where the wires run on the bottom of the foot. I think if I would've walked longer they would've developed into blisters. After several days for my feet to heal, I wore them again today but without the app. And I also wore a thin pair of socks under the heated socks. This made a very big difference as I haven't felt the wires at all and don't have any soreness. So I'll just have to remember to wear two pairs when wearing these. I wore them for about 1.5 hours on high and 1.5 hours on medium and the battery level is about 50%. So if they keep going at the present rate I can probably get 6 hours total with a combo of heat levels. Not too bad in my opinion. One thing to note is that only the toes are heated. The middle of the foot and heal are not. The idea is that the heat will travel. And while it's most important to have warm toes, it would also be nice for the rest of the foot to be heated as well. They're soft and thick and feel really comfortable (as long as I wear a thin pair of socks under them). I'll definitely get good use out of them this Winter now that I'm familiar with how they work.

The socks are wonderfully warm. Unfortunately, the socks have a bulky seam running the inside length (big toe side), as well as bulky toe seams. They were ok while seated, but the seams rubbed and irritated my toes when walking. Back they go (so sad!). One thing to note is that the Medium calf is very slim. They were snug on my 5'2" typical-weight frame, but I doubt my thin tall husband could wear them.

These warm heated winter socks are easy to wear, easy to clean and maintain. With the longest lasting battery of all the heated socks I have tried they are the best value for the money. Because they are app controlled, you can control the temperature you want right from your phone.

To start, a nice solid pair of socks. Thick and comfortable. Solid compression and seem to hold up well. Batteries slip right into the button up compartment at the top of each sock. The temperature control is at the top of the sock. That can be a small issue depending on the type of pants you are wearing. My hiking pants would have no issue with making adjustments. My ski boots and ski pants would be much more of a pain to get to. My ski boots don’t go as high on my calf and are below the battery packs. Again, if you have taller boots, that may be an issue. Normally, I wouldn’t use sock warmers whilst skiing. There is a USB connector to charge the batteries. Simple USB adapter does the trick. Batteries charged up overnight. The app is a bit of work. Although it seems intuitive, there could be a little guidance in its use. It does hound you to register with the app, which I don’t like. Overall, these seem to be OK. I think for non-downhill skiing use, they work well. There is the access issue if you want to adjust temps or duration. The app is OK.

The battery is not universal and requires a barrel adapter. The socks do heat up fast and lasts as stated duration. Pro: Product itself Con: Non-standard dual usb c battery. I got a large for my size 8 feet and they seem to fit perfectly other then the toes, I feel a bunch of material in the one at the toe seam and I feel material and it seems like a wire in the other. I got these because when we fish at night my feet get cold and these socks keep my feet warm perfectly. You can change the temp by ap also instead of having to get to the setting on leg. These work and keep my feet warm just the toes feel like a bunch of extra material in them, not sure why.

The is the same concept as the old battery heated sock except it comes with an app that monitors and can adjust temp, time and on/off. The Bluetooth connectivity seems a little sketchy as I’m sitting at my desk, with the sock on, the phone not more than 3ft away from each sock and I keep getting a disconnect notice in the app. If you’re in the woods, sitting in tree stand, bundled up with muck boots sure hope I don’t loose connectivity. Will edit review from tree but these could be a game changer. Nothing ends a hunt quicker than cold feet!
