Review of Electric Go-Kart First, lemme say that the kart was very well packed and packaged. It all came in one large box, which I hand-carted into my garage before opening. The individual parts and pieces all appear to be quite substantial, and all the holes match up, too! The included tools are adequate for the purpose, but you’ll probably benefit from using your own ratchets, sockets, and box-end wrenches. (I know I did.) The dinky little pamphlet that came with the kart contained a two-page Part List (with pictures of all listed items), and five pages of Assembly Steps, with 19 pictures, all of which are still photos from the video on this webpage. The Part List was adequate, although some terms were strange (to me, at least) but the accompanying pictures clarified what could have been otherwise puzzling (“anti-seismic” for shock absorber; “screw” for bolt (or machine screw); “tire peg” for cotter pin; “gasket” for washer; “LCD” for instrumentation panel). However, the parts list didn’t clearly show the two steering tie rods (at all), the two large split (lock) 16mm i.d. washers (for placement under the large castellated nut to attach the front wheels to the stub axles), or the two included 8x20mm bolts with nuts.* Assembly was relatively easy, and the instructions in the pamphlet are fairly clear and complete, but I take SERIOUS ISSUE with the statement on page 2 of the pamphlet, which sez: “Please set aside at least 40 minutes for assembly.” I know I’m old, slow, and not in a great hurry, but the processes of: unpacking; unwrapping the yards of stretch cling wrap around the parts; reducing the (very strong) cardboard to recyclable-size pieces for my recycle container; and checking the parts against the list, all took me WAAAY longer than 40 minutes. After I got the kart assembled, I spent quite a while checking and adjusting the camber (@2-3°)and toe-in (⅛”). I only have two complaints, and they’re fairly minor: First, IMO, the fasteners to attach the seat are not adequately sized for the mounting bracket holes, and need to be reinforced with larger washers; Second, the assembly and attachment of the “LCD” panel/handlebar/headlight is exasperatingly difficult and awkward, especially for a single person (you’ll notice in the video that it’s being done with a helper). Rather than struggle with it and get hot, sweaty, and frustrated, I bought four 8x100mm studs, screwed them into the holes in the front head column, stacked the headlight, the handlebar pressure blocks with handlebar sandwiched between, and the LCD panel over the four upward-protruding studs, then replaced the studs, one at a time, with the four mounting bolts…. Easy-Peasey! *These two 8x20mm bolts are clearly intended for attaching the seat to the frame; they go up thru holes in the two flanges on the frame into the recessed hexagonal holes in the back of the seat bottom, into which the 8x29mm nuts must be pressed from the top (the holes are hexagonal so the nuts won’t turn [while you tighten the bolts from below], since you can’t get a wrench on them; and recessed so they don’t protrude into your butt!). The hexagonal nuts are a very tight fit in the holes, so I had to “pull” them into place by using a longer bolt, shimmed with washers, to seat them in the holes. The two 6x25mm machine screws are for attaching the front of the seat bottom. (The two 6x40mm machine screws were intended, I guess, to be used to attach the back of the seat bottom to the frame, by someone who belatedly realized that those two 8x20mm bolts would be difficult to use, due to the tight fit for the nuts, and due to the holes in the flanges being too tight for the bolts, and too loose for the screws (I had to ream them out a little bit). (On another note, the battery doesn’t charge nearly as fast as it should, and certainly not as fast as the little charger instruction sheet sez it will.) Riding: the Kart is peppy; however, the seat is uncomfortable; the “take-off” is abrupt and thus jerky. There was no operator’s or owner’s manual, but that didn’t prove to be a big obstacle.

Purchased this gokart and assembled. It did not work at all. Talked to customer support a few time, but not resolved. I had to return it at my expense. Look at other karts before getting into this one.

Assembly was a little tricky - but you should be able to figure it out. The instructions aren't terrible and the thing is mostly pre-assembled anyways. The only steps I struggled with were getting the front shocks on, and the steering wheel + head lamp mounted. Everything else is pretty easy and intuitive. My 11 year old son (average height/weight) loves this thing. The speed is perfect for him. It's not too fast, not too slow. Super low center of gravity so very hard to flip over. The 6" tires and suspension can handle pretty rugged terrain. The value is great. I am thinking about buying another one just for when friends come over! It's also a drift beast on gravel/dirt roads, or wet grass. I'm 6'3" 200 lbs and it's fun for me as well but noticeably slower and a bit cramped (but totally drivable). I would want a little more power and an extended foot rest. I do wish the throttle had more My only concern is maybe some of the nuts are going to loosen up over time. I marked them all with a marker to see if they are spinning loose. If so, I will take the nut off and re-install with a thread locking compound. I really hope this company will start selling the same exact go-kart with an extended foot rest (for taller riders) and a larger motor.

If this is your first time building one of these, good luck. Instructions are very bland and difficult to follow. Nothing is labeled and it takes a long frustrating time to build it.

Super fun! Bought for our 13 year old son, and he loves it. We live next to the desert and he takes it out daily. The only down fall is how many parts it comes in. We were missing a bolt and the instructions(paper copy) SUCK. Definitely watch the video, which still missed one part on installing the ignition. We were also missing one bolt which we were able to find at a local hardware store. All in all id do it again. The fun and excitement is worth it. Hes 5'4, im 5'7 and his dad is 6' and we all drove it.

So far so good. This thing is super robust and crazy fast if you want it to be (60kph). My kid loves it. Takes a bit to put together, the instructions suck, but if you're remotely mechanically inclined you'll be fine. My only complaint is that even on low it's pretty fast (max 30kph). A bit fast for little kids. BUT, I found a super quick and cheap fix. I installed this potentiometer dial https://a.co/d/04EWhdXv on the throttle connection (red, black, and green wires) and can now set it as slow as I want. Everyone wins!

Didn’t take long to put together. My son loves it! It’s a little jerky with the power from take off but other than that it does great. Goes 21mph with me on it at 190lbs. I had a couple questions I asked the seller and they got to me quickly and helped out really well. Would buy from them again.
