We read the reviews and purchased the grounding rod. My setup took just under 30 minutes to install along a 20’ section of fence. My stubborn dog only needed 2 zaps before he learned not to engage the neighbors dog in fence battles. For the money it saves me a headache that has plagued us since the neighbors moved in. Fast installation with simple tools, easy to understand instructions, and plenty of hooks to run wire. I was able to manage the wire decently but some make opt for the more flexible wire. Tip: I slid my bottom wire through the grounding rod eye to have the best contact.

I assumed the reviews for this product were ridiculous, and indeed they are. This electric fence works great. The wire is very strong and it comes with a lot. I set it up to protect my chicken run from raccoons. It is reading at 7,000 volts on my electric fence tester (which is as high as the tester goes, so it might even be more. Not sure). Of course I accidentally shocked myself with it and it is STRONG. I used two pieces of 2’ rebar for the ground and it works very well. If you’re looking for an affordable electric fence option, go for it.

The directions were clear and everything is included. I installed the controller/transformer in a waterproof ammo can mounted on a wooden post and sealed the holes with silicone caulk.

The only good comment I can make about this product is about the connectors to the fence. The connectors were easy to install with the included tool. The wire continously broke. The first layer of wire on the spool was great. Once I got to the second layer, it broke about every 1.5 feet. Never even was able to connect it to the box bc it broke so much. Do not reccomend.

Got this for keeping my puppy out of my fish pond. Twice since I installed it I’ve heard yipes, he no longer goes near the pond. 👍 The included aluminum wire is a pain, would probably work great for long straight fences. Not that great for a bathtub fish pond. Otherwise I’m happy with the purchase.
