This is a great product for kids who want to mess with a drum kit: It allows them to be expressive, but without being too loud: The pads suppress the whacking noises made with the sticks, and it's quiet enough to be unheard by the neighbors. The whacking noises might be a bit distracting if you're in the same room, however, so that's something to keep in mind. The drumkit also allows the player to plug in headphones, which is a great addition and works exactly as one might expect. There are buttons to control the volume level for the audio output at the top of the device, in case the sound is too loud, for both headphones and the speakers. The speakers themselves are of decent quality. They can get pretty loud if ever needed, but the option to turn them down is always appreciated and handy. The audio quality isn't very impressive: While the speakers can get very loud, they sound a bit compressed, and it's a lot more evident at the higher volume levels. It might also (alternatively) be because the drum samples used sound low quality: They sound very General MIDI-esque, and there aren't variants depending on how the performer plays each instrument... This was expected, however, as this is still a great learning tool for beginner drummers to get accustomed to using a drumkit. (On that topic, the floor pedals definitely help the drummer feel like they're using a real kick drum/hi-hat, too!) Now, they don't really advertise it, but this drumkit supports MIDI Out if you plug it directly into your computer. Unfortunately, the output never seems to release the notes. At least, this is the case in FL Studio... the manual directly recommends Sonar/Cubase/Nuendo/EZDrummer. Unfortunately, I don't own any of those, but it may work more reliably in those programs). It reads as a "CHMidi-2.3" controller on the PC, in case that means anything to anyone reading this. In FL Studio, the issue can be averted by using the Shift+D shortcut to make all notes as short as the grid-snap is set to (see images), however, this is not an ideal solution and is hard to recommend for more advanced usage. The recording also does not have Note Velocity variation: It doesn't record how loud/hard the notes were hit, and records them at a static max (127) velocity/volume level. Overall, this is a great product for beginners as it promises. Don't expect it to do much more beyond that, and it'll serve as a great entry point to get into more advanced drumming performances, without disturbing the neighbors!

One thing I really appreciated was that the instructions were really easy to understand. The drums were also super accurate, and the pedals were great. I would like to change the pads that are a bit small, and hard to hit. I would make the pads a bit bigger. Overall I think that this is a great intro drum set for kids to play with and is totally worth getting.

Neat little drum kit. Not so rollable, more foldable if anything. The speakers and pedals are nice touches and the sound quality is fair. Definitely fun to drum the time away. Recommended.

Not gonna lie, this thing is really cool. Got it as Christmas gift for my son, who drums on literally every surface. Sounds good, plays well, lot of features that he probably wont appreciate but i'm glad it has. I like the rhythm backtracking that it has. I had a blast just playing with it and bopping all the different buttons. It seems very robust, so I have every confidence my 4 yr old WONT beat a hole through it in the first year after I give it to him. One minor complaint: It does not actually included a plug for the wall. It includes the USB 2.0 charge cable to plug it in, which is kind of important, but no actual plug. Of course, nearly everyone has a plug these days for USB, but now I have to go hunt down a spare. Not something really worth complaining about, but if you dont have a spare and cant get a spare, this may not be the electric drum kit for you.

I got this to keep as a play toy for my nephews when they visit, but after playing with it myself, I think I might end up making this my toy. I think I am going to use this to take a foray into learning to play the drums!. It works great as long as you have it placed on a flat, hard surface and it is well supported. I first tested this on my bed, but without proper support, all of the strikes with the drum sticks didn't register, making it hard to play. Once I moved it to the kitchen counter, it worked flawlessly. It has several different drum kit sounds to choose from, and the built in sample tracks will provide a music source to learn and practice to. This came with everything you need except a USB power source (wall wart) - luckily I have plenty of those.

This compact drum set really does it all: hi-hat, two-crash cymbal, ride cymbal, high tom-tom, low tom-tom, bass drum, snare drum, and floor tom-tom, plus 2 floor pedals. Each drum is activated with the included wooden drum sticks via a pad, arranged like you'd see on stage. The silicone pads are part of a flexible surface, allowing the drum set to be rolled up and easily transported. The set is cordless and plays for up to 10 hours; it's USB-rechargeable. It comes with built-in speakers, which are plenty loud ... or a headphone output for parental sanity ... or external speakers for maximum effect. Programmed into the set are 6 demo songs, 7 timbres, and 10 rhythms. You're beginning-drummer kids will love it ... as likely will you too (I definitely do!).
