This bass is fantastic. The finish looks really good, even better in person. Mine was darker than the picture, looks great. The fretwork is really well done, that's something to worry about in lower priced guitars and basses. The pickups are loud and clear but make sure you have a 9v battery. Tone and volume controls seem to do what is advertised. It has really nice ergonomics and very comfortable to play sitting down. Also it has a recessed input jack and I'm wondering now why more manufacturers aren't doing that, such a cool feature. Plays very well and sounds good, I'm running it through my Focusrite Clarett with some stock plugins from Reaper. Just wanted a bass since to mess around with and I haven't been able to put it down, so much fun to play! This bass is a fantastic value for the money. If you told me it was $800 I would totally believe you. I payed $180 with the coupon from Amazon. My only complaint was the action was a little high and intonation a little off. But at this price point that's nothing to complain about.

I'm sure many of you are hesitant to pull the trigger on this bass because its on Amazon and an unknown brand. I was really nervous too, I've only ever bought my basses under name brands from in-person stores. Let me tell you this is the best experience I could have asked for. I wanted the Schecter CB-5 look without the premium price tag, and this bass delivered. Heres my review: Out-of-box setup: The frets were absolutely pristinely cut. I was ready with painters tape and 220 grit sandpaper. Maybe it's just luck on my end, but they are genuinely cut better out of the box than my $600 Fender precision bass. The truss rod also happened to arrive at perfect tension, zero arcing in the neck. The pickups were a bit hot so I lowered them and the bridge saddles needed to be lowered for a lower action, but that took all of 30 seconds. The intonation was great on all but the low B string, which took about 3 minutes to dial in. 10/10 Construction: Wow. This bass is absolutely gorgeous. Besides the well cut frets, the body is well-finished in a beautiful matte. Definitely not waterproof but a substantial finish. No streaks or drops anywhere, and all of the tolerances on the wood pieces, especially in the stunning 5 piece neck, are completely smooth. Only problem I had was the nut fell out when I removed the factory strings, but that took 5 seconds to glue back in. 9/10 Hardware: All metal hardware is always a huge bonus with basses of this price bracket, and they definitely did not disappoint. The bridge is dense and easy to adjust, although the saddle height screws are a bit sharp and you will cut yourself on them if you arent careful, but they're pretty easy to miss. The knobs on the pots glide very smoothly with no catches or grinding. I replaced the tuners during setup with a set of 1:17 Guyker tuners, but with the way the stock tuners felt, I am pretty confident you could get away with them. They were hefty and metal and did not slip easily. The strings obviously were replaced immediately as I do with all my basses but they didn't feel necessarily bad in my first impressions. 9/10 Playability: No complaints. The tension on all the strings is perfectly passable. The height of the stock pickups I adjusted are comfortable to rest my thumb on without sacrificing tone. The knobs are a bit confusing at first if you're used to active Fender-style basses, but they are effective and not hard to get used to. 8/10 Electronics: As I said earlier, the pickups out of the box are incredibly hot. Take a Phillips head screwdriver and lower them about 3/4 centimeter and theyre tamed. I might replace them down the line but that is just for personal preference, these pickups sound great. No buzzing at all. I did notice a shrieking sound when I turn it at a specific angle but that is almost certainly a result of my Boss-ODB3 overdrive pedal and an electronic device somewhere in my room, so I doubt its a problem with the bass itself. Small thing but the battery compartment on the back has tou just drop in the battery and close it, not messing around with wires and the little leather battery terminals you see in many major brand active basses. Very nice and easy to put the battery in and remove! 10/10 I would buy this bass again even if it was $600+. Bullfighter, you have made a name for yourself, and I will not forget.

These Bullfighter basses are fun. They are high quality and solid (very heavy!), but also seem to vary quite a lot in the details. Every one has unique wood grain, who knows exactly what you will get? It might be beautiful, it might be... not so much. The wood is almost completely natural, you can FEEL the grain. Some have very sharp fret ends, some don't. The pickups are RED HOT. On one that I tried, if I turn the volume up past half way, it will fart out my amp (100w Rumble). I think I will lower the pickups to get some more space from the strings. Or maybe different strings will cool it down a bit. Out of the box the action was pretty bad. All bridge adjustments were at maximum height for some reason. Took some tweaking of the truss rod and bridge to get things settled into a more playable config. But it has a very solid feel, which I like. The B string has more power than other basses I've tried. The shielding seems very good, it's extremely quiet... no hums or electrical noise. All I can say is give it a try, you might like it.

I have zero complaints here. Even the strings were good. Really quiet preamp too. Could easily be over 500 and still be a good deal. Edit: MM Stingrays are are wired parallel this is series. Solder the taped off red wire to where the yellow is for each pickup. Wire the white to where the black ground goes for each. It's now parallel and is much more clear. Still tons of punch. Just did it and loved it!

Overall build quality of the bass was good. Pickups were hot/loud. Changed the wiring from series to parallel. I also lowered the pickup height to make volume manageable. First onstage performance and I noticed some static from the tone knobs.

I'm still trying to figure out how they manage to sell such a terrific guitar for this price - it's really so much better than I was expecting. I love to get inexpensive guitars as "projects" to turn into something great, this one just exceeds all expectations right out of the box . . thanks guys!

Complete horrible build. Frets for hanging over the edge of the neck and we're Sharp to the touch, many of the frets we're not flush on the neck and were kind of floating. Tuned and put new strings and still the rattling on certain floating frets would not go away. For an extra 50 bucks I should have just gotten an Ibanez
