  • Beautiful Guitar! Amazing Find!
Style: Thinner Bridge Cutaway
I just received this Vangoa 36” acoustic-electric beauty. Tuned it (it held its tune overnight) and does not go out of tune while playing. I plugged in to my portable amp and joila! It sounds awesome! Only wish I could’ve found it in red or black) but… I am so happy to have this 36” guitar. In the zip top bag they include a cleaning cloth. Run that over the strings (they needed cleaning) and it’ll sound even better. I’ll change the strings to 10’s but for now they are good. It came with 11-52’s. Amazing all the way around-from the fret markers on the fret board and side of neck, to the strap buttons (there are 2), to the scallop and X bracing, truss rod, electronics, built in tuner is spot on, highly polished finish, front of headstock is black on the natural it’s a cool look. Frets are filed and rounded. Spruce top. Personally, I prefer the black tuning pegs to chrome, but even my Taylor GS Mahogany Mini came with the chrome pegs- everybody’s doing it. IDK. However, they work great, that’s all that matters. The action seems just right, for now. What a great size this is-for anyone! Through trial & error, I’ve learned 36” guitars are my sweet spot. The most comfortable and fun to play. Not to mention portable. For $150 bucks this guitar is so freaking worth it. I can’t believe they make guitars this cost friendly, that are of this quality. We’ve come a long way in guitar manufacturing & sales. The other guitar I use out in my yard, is the DONNER 36” acoustic = I LOVE that guitar too. You can’t go wrong with BOTH guitars! I don’t write many reviews, in this case I couldn’t wait to share. Happy Playing! ... show more

  • Worth the money
Style: Thinner Bridge Cutaway
Didn't want to rush to judgment on this. Have had this guitar for 4 months now, it has been outstanding. Extremely easy to play and sounds good. The ends of the frets were a little sharp to begin with, but easy enough to buff down. This would fit the bill for a beginner or in my case an older player whose hands don't move so great anymore. Came with a kinda cheesy gig bag, tuner, picks, extra strings (get yourself better strings) and other accessories. Overall, probably going to get a second one while they are still cheap. ... show more

  • Great value for the money
Style: Thinner Bridge Cutaway
I was looking for a "travel/camping" guitar which also could be plugged into an amp. I only recently became aware of 3/4 size guitars. I have played guitar (electric & acoustic) professionally/semi-professionally for 50 years. For the price I found this guitar to be an exceptional value. The tuners are tight with no slop. The string height and neck relief were perfect. I did need to apply fretboard oil. I use MusicNomad F-ONE Fretboard Oil on all my guitars. The fretboard, and indeed all the wood, was exceptionally dry. For the price I find this acceptable and easily remedied. I also replaced the strings immediately, which resulted in better tone. The nut fell off when replacing the strings, but this is not uncommon on cheaper guitars. It is easy to either glue it on (be sure you know what you are doing if you do glue it in place), or simply let the new strings hold it in place. All the fret ends are rough, but have not affected playability. I won't take the time to file the fret ends since I can play the guitar just fine as they are. The intonation on 4 of the strings is off, but not enough to warrant me taking time to cut a new saddle. The biggest surprise was the loudness of this guitar. For the size it is amazingly loud (I mean when not plugged into an amp). This guitar includes features that are surprising for the price. The built-in tuner is a very useful feature. The gig bag is surprisingly good quality for the price. I found the guitar to be ideal for strumming open chords, and even for playing barre chords up to the 10th fret or so. I find it to be less usable for doing complicated finger picking since the tone of individual strings and playability are not the strong suit of a guitar of this size and quality. As is to be expected. In summary, this guitar greatly exceeds my expectations and will be useful for camping, practicing, and even limited gigging with my battery-powered amp. It would also be ideal for a beginner of any age. UPDATE. Oct 2025 It appears the guitar electronics have been updated based on the pictures. I have the older version. It appears that they have added a mid EQ knob & a better tuner display. They also added a separate battery compartment. I still use my older version a couple of times a month at our church small group meetings to lead worship running through a Positive Grid Spark GO amp. For strumming open chords it still works great. ... show more

  • Excellent quality of guitar, worth the money! Excellent quality of guitar, worth the money!
Style: Thinner Bridge Cutaway
I was looking for a small-size guitar to use for camping and playing around the house. I searched on Amazon and chose this 36-inch acoustic-electric guitar because it can be plugged into an amp directly and perfect size for me. The Guitar arrived in perfect condition. Surprisingly, I don't know how they can provide a guitar, extra strings, strap, digital tuner, capo, cable, polish cloth, picks, and quality padded gig bag, for this price, which is value for the money to me. And the acoustic-electric guitar is very easy to be tuned. I noticed that it is some comments complained about the poor quality of the guitar. But I can not find any quality issues on the guitar I received. It is a beautiful and well-made guitar for me. Size: I am 5"7, and this 3/4 size guitar is the perfect size for me. And it is very lightweight and portable. Nut and Saddle: As expected and advertised. No issue. Neck: Very smooth and no worry to hurt my fingers. Action: Not bad. I didn't tweak the truss rod at all, and the strings sat fairly low right out of the box. Guitar Bag: The gig bag is padded, and will work for any beginner. It has a large pocket on the front which is great to have. Strap: The strap looks great, no issues at all with it. Pick Guard: It has adhesive on the back. You will have to put it on yourself, but it's pretty simple. In short, if you're looking for a guitar for traveling, I think this is a great option for the price. It is also really suitable for beginners as its solid value and completed accessories. They really throw in a lot to help you get started. I would definitely give a thumb up for the guitar. Don't hesitate to have your own one. ... show more

  • This Guitar is top of the line for the price!!
Style: Thinner Bridge Cutaway
The guitar looks like it cost 500$, they nailed the look and the feel definitely. The amount of stuff that comes with this guitar makes it a no brainer. There is a few things people should know about this guitar to get the sound to go to the next level 1. Get the Elixer or addario coated 10/47 strings, this will give the guitar an even more premium feel and sound. 2. You may need to adjust the truss rod because the guitar was making a buzz upon string impact. After I loosened the rod to the left a quarter turn or two, the guitar instantly sounded deeper and resonated way more. 3. The guitar is 3/4 so it fits so much better in your lap and if you don’t have big hands it will fit you perfectly. Overall this guitar does basically everything right and for the price I would highly consider it to any beginner like myself. ... show more

  • My favorite guitar
Style: Thinner Bridge Cutaway
The build quality and finish on this guitar is beautiful. It sounds great for a 3/4 size guitar and the play ability and comfort makes me wish I bought this years ago. What's really amazing is the price of this guitar... you can't go wrong buying it.

  • Great guitar for the cost
Style: Thinner Bridge Cutaway
Very good beginner guitar for people with smaller hands. Im 57y beginner at 5'1 I found the standard acoustic guitar too big. This 3/4 is perfect for me. I adjusted the truss rod a half turn and it sounds great. The strings are good too. I usually like the martins custom light but the ones that come included are perfectly fine. I highly recommend. Very easy to tune and after the strings stretch it stays in tune very well. ... show more

  • Guitar is alright but can be better
Style: Thinner Bridge Cutaway
While tuning the guitar for the first time, one the string broke suddenly. Had to change it. The heavy dute battery provided by the company doesn't work, had to use my own battery for the in build tuner. The sound of the guitar is great but not satisfied by other products.
