I’m extremely impressed with this Electactic U-Shaped Window Air Conditioner! I’m so glad I installed it before the summer heat wave arrived because it has already made a huge difference in keeping my room comfortable. The installation process was much easier than I expected, and I really love the U-shaped design that allows the window to still open while maintaining a full window view. That feature alone makes the room feel brighter and less blocked compared to traditional window AC units. This 10,000 BTU unit cools my space very quickly and keeps the temperature steady even during extremely hot afternoons. Another thing that surprised me is how quiet it is. I can sleep, relax, or work without the constant loud noise that many older air conditioners make. The cool, dry, and fan modes give plenty of flexibility depending on the weather, and the multiple fan speeds make it easy to customize comfort levels. The remote control is also very convenient. Our central AC died, so we ordered these to get through the rest of the summer. I like the way they are packed: Very tightly with lots of cushioning. No dings or knicks anywhere. Setting them up in the windows was super easy; it took a couple of us just because of the weight. The foam that comes with us does a good job of keeping drafts and bugs out. Batteries are included with the remote, which I appreciate. Because it doesn't sit on top of the windowsill, it hangs lower. So you will need to make sure there is no furniture blocking the air. Runs really well with great airflow. I am a light sleeper, so I love the quiet setting at night. Filters are easy to clean. The appearance is clean, doesn't look junky like the typical window unit. Highly recommend.

This AC is working well so far after a few weeks of using it. I had been using a 12k btu portable AC, but decided I wanted something a little more efficient. The 12k portable was using 12 amps, whereas this 10k btu uses a little over 5, and seems to be cooling better. Install was easy and only took me a few minutes. The only thing that's a bit different with this window AC over a normal window one, is that the water doesn't drain to the outside. There is a plug on the inside of the house, but so far only drained it once and it wasn't much. I love the design and it's so much more quiet than the portable one I had been using.

I’ve been very happy with this U-shaped window air conditioner. The installation process was straightforward thanks to the clear instructions, and the unit fit my window without any issues. What stood out immediately was how much quieter it is compared to traditional window AC units. Since the compressor sits outside, the indoor noise level is low enough that conversations, TV watching, and sleeping aren't disturbed. The cooling performance has also been impressive. It quickly brings the room to a comfortable temperature, even during warmer afternoons. I like having multiple modes available, especially Sleep and ECO mode, which help maintain comfort without constantly adjusting settings. This AC unit was damaged in shipping or manufacturing and I will be returning it. Even in “Quiet Mode” it was shaking my house walls and sounded like a construction zone with a jackhammer. I was very meticulous in making sure it was leveled both ways and even adding two rubber cups under leveling clamps did not help. The installations weren’t too hard. The hardest part was getting it out of the box. The box was tightly packed and came with instructions on what to do. On the outside of the box it said to cut away the packing tape and lift the box off of the product, but that wasn't possible. So when opening the top of the box the instructions that say to use the plastic straps around the device and lift it out of the box. I tried and tried and tried to lift it out of there. Applying more force lifted up the entire unit while holding the box down. I never was able to lift it more than half an inch. So I finally ended tearing the sides at the corners of the box and laid the sides down flat on the floor to get it out. So once you've got the box situation resolved it's easy to install. I just grabbed it around the middle of the unit and hoisted it over the window sill and set it down. There are some other things you need to do with putting the foam blocks under it first and then the foam weather stripping. They included a little bubble level so you can get it precisely level using the pre-attached leveling arms with rubber feet that are outside the window. Operating the unit was easy. I did not read the instructions and was able to turn it on and set it to a temperature. There are a few different modes that you'll need to read the instructions to really understand what they're doing and maybe to set some timers and things but basic cooling is just turn it on and set a temperature. The drain for condensation on the inside of the unit. I was kind of hoping that is there as a backup in case not all the condensation drains outside and drips out. If you do need to drain it indoors for all of the condensation, that's extremely disappointing. I live in Iowa where it's humid so we would have to be emptying this thing everyday or multiple times a day.

I have two of these window units now in the upstairs at my house because I struggle so much with keeping it cool in that area during the summertime. Plus, the humidity gets terrible up there because of the attic. These two units have been fantastic. And as a single woman living alone, this is the first time that I have ever been able to install a window unit by myself. They are so easy to lift and pop into the window. You do have to extend yourself out of the window to adjust the legs that prompt up against the side of your house, but that’s so much better than having to put in a separate support system for a traditional window unit. These function great whether you use it on dehumidifier or regular AC. And I have found the efficiency savings during summertime with running these to keep my upstairs cool in addition to having a traditional AC system in my house is well worth it. So far, my electric bill is cut in half because my central AC is not having to run constantly.

This air conditioner is a huge disappointment. It became extremely noisy and no longer cools the room properly after normal use. The compressor seems to struggle, and the noise is loud enough to disturb sleep. I expected a reliable product, but it failed much sooner than it should have. I would not buy this again.
