    • Perfect Replacement Fan - Get This One!!
Replacement parts for your PS4 are not something you should skimp on. I previously made the mistake of getting a cheap $15 fan and it immediately was making noises right after installation. I had to wear headphones every time I played PS4, which is not something I can tolerate. So next time I decided to get a more expensive fan (this one) that has great reviews. Let me tell you, this fan is worth every penny. Right after I installed it, my PS4 was completely silent. You literally need to put your ear on the top of the PlayStation to even hear that the fan is running. Bingo!! Not only is the fan perfect, but the other items are also very important. The screwdrivers, specifically the T9 security torx screwdriver, are necessary to take apart the console. Then, the thermal paste included is high quality and is key part of maintaining your system. I highly recommend that you replace the thermal paste as well when you replace the fan. The kit also comes with a plastic applicator tool to evenly spread the thermal paste onto the chip. *There are dozens of YouTube tutorials that show how to replace the fan and the thermal paste. I had basically zero experience with PS4 repair going into this, and the videos were my only resource and helped me out immensely. If you need to replace your PS4 fan, look no further. This is the fan you need to get and it comes with everything you need. FYI if you are going for an extremely thorough cleaning as well, I recommend getting a can of compressed air and some baby wipes or a rubbing alcohol/q-tips or paper towels combo.     • Great product, zero noise in a fresh room, easy to replace.
I purchase this with fear, one being that the product will be used or damaged and other me trying to change the fan by myself. But I will cut to the chase, I started watching a lot videos on how to change the fan, and clean the console, so when the fan arrives (which was faster than stated) I could be prepared. Let me tell you, it was really simple to do, yes, at some point I was scared specially when removing some cables since they look and feel so fragile. But I really recommend getting some tweezers for that preferably the round ones since there are some that feel sharp and that won't feel secure. So my recommendations will be, watch some videos (even the package has a card that recommends watching the iFixIt video), don't force anything, and as good as the Philips screwdriver is I recommend getting another, maybe a smaller screwdriver, I did most of the work with the one provided but that made me messed up some of the screws, which it ist that big of a dealt but is just a tip. And lastly, I was used to my loud fan and by loud I really mean it it was LOUD, so when I finished I didn't hear anything and I got worried that maybe I didn't install it correctly so I open just the part of the fan and turned on, and saw that the fan was spinning, it was just that I was so used to the loud jet sound that made me paranoid, and still when I was playing and didn't hear anything I got more paranoid, but I guess this means that the fan is really good and you can forget about the loud noise. Also the termal paste just put a "pea" I send mine to put some thermal and notice that they made a mess and probably that was making my PS4 overheat even more since the paste was all over the place except the processor. 10/10 product the difference is amazing so far, I hope it stays that way. ... show more

    • Awesome Package! Made my PS4 Pro sound like new!
I just picked up a PS4 Pro of eBay to finish Shadow of Colossus but despite sticking an SSD in there, it was super loud during gameplay like a jet engine taking off. After some research and watching YouTube videos, it was recommended to repaste the CPU, clean the heatsink and change the fan which brings me to this Item. This had a brand new silent fan, two screwdrivers and thermal paste and spreader. Literally everything you need to repair loud and old PS4 Pro. I used my own tools but did end up using the supplied paste. It took about two hours and it helps to have a good dust brush and air blower but when I was done, my used PS4 sounded wisper quiet, like new system from back in the day. I had my kid play Ratchet and Clank and Knack half a day on it to see if it makes loud fan noise but no sir! Very happy with this item and seller!     • Great Product, Just be careful installing.
Had to replace my old rattling fan that couldn’t keep the PS4 cool by any means. Been using this fan for a few months now and it’s been working like a champ, stress testing it by running big games like Star Wars Battlefront 2, Red Dead Redemption 2 & Battlefield V and it only makes reasonable fan sounds after a long play session. Granted my room I play in has poor insulation and I live in a hot climate area so I suspect the ambient temperature is playing a role in the heat buildup on my system. All-in-all this product was everything I needed and worked amazing. WARNING TO ANYONE INSTALLING THIS THEMSELVES: The installation of this product requires a COMPLETE disassembly of the entire ps4 to install the fan, this process isn’t hard as long as your moderately computer savvy, takes only around 30-45 minutes if you take it slow and be careful. Reassembly is under 15 minutes so long as you can remember the steps required to take it apart. To anyone buying this product and watching a tutorial video online (Particularly Youtube) I BEG you to please check the comment section prior to beginning any take downs of your system. Some tutorials aren’t as thorough as they appear to be and slip over important details causing people following them to rip apart and break things in their system that appeared to have been done the same way as shown in the videos. ... show more

    • Literally no noise AT ALL.
My fan broke a few weeks ago, so I decided to buy a new one. I'm in Canada, so it was a bit pricey to export here but it is so worth it. Whenever I would open the inventory menu in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, I was always prepared for my ps4 to start flying away because of how loud the fan was. I bought this ElecGear fan replacement, and just placed it in. ABSOLUTELY NO NOISE! I even used the thermal paste that it came with and replaced it on my cpu, let me tell you: this is the best thing I've bought in a while. I bought my ps4 pro used from a seller on facebook marketplace, and they did not take care of it at all. It had the infamous jet engine noise that ps4's get after a while. But after buying this fan, I'm shocked and extremely satisfied with the results. It's easy to install, just be careful not to tug on the fan or psu's connector cables too hard, otherwise you'll have to buy another one (like i did ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) ... show more

What can I say?! The fan is silent and I repasted the APU with their included thermal paste which in the description says it's made by artic the mx-2 or something like that but when received it had the manufacturer of this product on it not artic. Now I also bought artic TP-3 thermal pad 1 sheet of 100x100mm 1mil thickness. Cut them to the entire size of each VRM module and repasted the APU and installed the fan. I can say while playing 2 hrs of God of War Ragnarok the PS4 pro was whisper quite and never could hear it when before it sounded like a jet engine. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. watch a IFixIt video on how to disassemble the console and it was easy to do. ... show more

    • Whisper 🤫 Quiet Fix For My Once Broken PS4
The original fan in my PS4 was awefully loud for a couple years. Last week, it finally gave out. This caused the console to overheat & shutdown shortly after boot-ups. I purchased this kit, because of it's stellar reviews, but also because it includes thermal paste. I have NEVER tore apart a PS4 before, so I was anxious to dig in. Luckily, there are many tutorials available. It took me about 5 hours, but I thoroughly cleaned the console inside & out while working on it. I was upset the fan didn't include pads. I had to remove & reuse the old ones. Also, the wire harness had to be rearranged. Other than that, everything went really well! The PS4 has been operating perfectly since the install. The fan is almost completely silent & the paste seems to be efficient for heatsink. Overall, very satisfied! I would buy the kit again!!! ... show more
