This thing is very attractive, and well worth the money in my opinion. It was simple as could be to put on, so simple in fact that there are basically no instructions included. I found that odd at first, but then I realized the instructions are with the Nest Thermostat - you just substitute this wall plate for the one they give you in the box. We definitely wanted to use a wall plate to cover up the square thermostat mess we were replacing, and this did the trick and now has become somewhat of an accent piece in our living room. I have to tell the truth about this item. It looks like it came from the Dollar Store. I was looking for an option nicer than the Google Nest trim and this is not it. This looks very cheap. It’s ok for a college apartment or something like that, but I wouldn’t even put this in my basement.

I had ordered this one and a metal looking one for about the same price. No comparison on quality. This one was very plastic, but it did look like the picture with the marble. Probably wouldn’t matter much once it was installed on the wall

The plate is very attractive, fits perfectly and is easy to install. One issue was I intended to choose a white plate, but the website picture looked white and there seemed to be two different whites. Turned out to be marble. But it is OK with my decor. Much nicer than the rectangular plate that comes with the Nest. Just be careful picking. ... show more

The product is lovely and easily installed but they shipped me the wrong design choice. I ended up with a plain silver...which will work but saddened that it isn't the original item purchased.

Product is exactly as pictured. Had some initial trepidation about plastic/vinyl faux marble but in hand this product does have the desired aesthetic appearance. One caveat, the white coloration of this product does not quite match the brighter white of the nest thermostat, so if you’re a bit compulsive that can be irksome, nest thermostat does come with its own white rectangular back plate with exact color match ... show more

Quality of the plate is on par with the original one provided by nest. Aesthetically nicer and definitely an upgrade to the rectangular one that comes with the thermostat. I was tempted to order the flat black one to match, but feared it would just look like a black blob on the wall. I’m glad I opted for the marble patterned one. See the posted photo. Would definitely recommend assuming a plate is necessary for your application. ... show more
