I wanted to write this review, because when shopping for this product, half the reviews seemed to indicate the product was good but ‘deficient’ in some capacity or another. Lots of reviews claimed the charging worked fine with the case on, lots of reviews claimed the charging was not so fine. I decided to purchase the product myself and here is my take. First of all, the quality is great. Not sure what people are complaining about, but in the hand this case makes the Apple Pencil feel extremely solid and much, much grippier. It also improves the look of the pencil dramatically. On top of all that, it is a great shock absorber in the event of accidents. I’ve probably knocked over my Apple Pencil 3 or 4 times since buying this case, and while the pencil used to land with an ear piercing thud and a sense of dread that the internals might be broken, these days a spill is no big deal, as the case basically cocoons your pencil in absolute safety. The addition to the looks, the feel, and the safety make this purchase a no brainer in my opinion. As to the charging and the magnetic hold, I’ve had no issues with either. The magnetic hold on my iPad Pro 12” is as strong as ever, and once clipped on, this pencil is going nowhere. Secondly, it charges just fine. I think a lot of people might be slipping the case on incorrectly, or misaligning it, but if you take about 7 seconds to read the instructions and put this case on properly, there are 0 issues. Got it? 0 issues. Don’t listen to the 0 star reviews of people who can’t be bothered to read instructions and then spread incorrect information. Here’s the only true gripe: As people have correctly stated, it is hard to get the case on the first time. The fit is very snug, so getting the entire pencil in takes some finesse, care, and a bit of elbow grease. However, that is just the first time. After that, once the plastic has had time to properly mold to the pencil, subsequent removals and insertions are much easier. However, I’ve only ever removed the pencil one or two times since buying this case, because honestly once you have the case, why would you ever go back to having a naked, boring, slippery, unprotected Apple Pencil? Just stop obsessing over the reviews, and if you like the look of the case, buy it! And no I don’t work for the company, LOL.

My son and I both use an Apple Pencil, and I wanted something to help distinguish them apart easily. I saw this sleeve on a YouTube video, and thought this was a cost effective, easy way to add some customization to one of our pencils. The sleeve is super easy to install. You get two pieces, the eraser cap and the yellow sleeve portion. It is super easy to take on and off. I will say my only issue is that sometimes I notice the sleeve sliding off the pencil slightly. It's never in trouble of coming off completely, but does start covering the tip a bit. Easily remedied, but something I thought I'd mention. The other thing is that it is able to still magnetically stick to the iPad and charge. I use my Magic Keyboard primarily and have no problems docking and charging up the pencil when I use this case. Unfortunately, if I use my other case (Logitech Combo Touch) then I have problems getting it to charge. It still magnetically connects, but I am guessing the case gets in the way of aligning with the charger. This was a bit of a bummer since I normally use the Combo Touch case when I use the Pencil. You can get it to charge with the case you just need to wiggle it around until you find the sweet spot. Last thing here, is the sleeve does make the magnets noticeably weaker so I have noticed that the Pencil pop off a little easier. Not a huge change, but noticeable. I love the way it looks, and now my son wants one too, luckily they come in different colors. The sleeve adds a little thickness to the pencil so this might make it easier for some to hold on to. The flat edges also make it feel more like an actual pencil so that might also help with comfort when using your Pencil. Honestly, for the cost it's a great deal. Just be aware that it does add some thickness to the Pencil so be careful if you have a tight fitting case on your iPad.

It is so cute and it looks great. But for me, it's a little time consuming taking off the case and putting it on. Also, although it does connect to your iPad, it does not charge with the case on. I don't know if that's something that was disclosed and I didn't read the description well enough. Either way, if you're someone who gets frustrated easily like me, I would not recommend this product. If you are someone that doesn't care spending around 5 minutes trying to take the case off, it's great.

Dang! Yet another super cool looking product that I had high hopes for only to be disappointed. First of all getting this thing on your Apple Pencil is a battle. Don’t believe the video it’s NOT that easy but after wrestling this thing for 20 minutes and finally getting it snugly on, my biggest disappointment was to learn my pencil no longer connects to my iPad. It snaps magnetically into place as it should but not enough to pair it. Unless of course you remove the case which after 20 minutes of fighting this thing, it’s never coming off again lol! For me also I like the extra grip feel but The silicon feel to me gets weird after awhile. (Even though I couldn’t use the pencil I have a habit of holding it while I work ) But that just personal preference. For those who have no issues with pairing that’s great but just because there are those of us who do doesn’t mean we should just get over it lol! I mean kind of pointless if we cant actually use the pencil! I ended up just cutting it in thirds and using the bottom third on my pencil. It still doesn’t charge but the grip is somewhat nice, and it’s easier to take on and off.

Super cute Apple Pencil cover! Only downside is that it will not charge with my iPad case still on my iPad while this pencil cover is on too… but it’s not a big deal for me to pop my iPad out of the case long enough to attach and charge my Apple Pencil with its cover on. Overall I love it!
