Description

The Starfire Solarus AP All-Season 275/65R18 116T Tire has sharp-angled all- purpose center blocks which have been designed to enhance traction on dirt paths, gravel roads and farmland, while still providing strong on-road performance. Designed for all-purpose, all-terrain capability with all-season traction while providing a quiet ride at an affordable price. The wide anti- hydroplane grooves on each side help flush out the water from the tire, which improves wet traction and resistance to hydroplanning. Wet and snow traction is strengthened by full-depth biting edges or "all-season sipes". The quiet Zig-Zag pattern disrupts air flow through the tread which reduces noise for a quiet ride. The Starfire Solarus AP comes with a great 50,000 mile warranty. The Starfire Solarus AP is an all-terrain tire for full sized pickup trucks and various SUVs.

After trying to get Made in USA tires and reading several review and posts stating these in fact were made in America, I decided on these Starfires. They weren't as aggressive as Id like but enough for me(I don't go wayyy out in the boonies anymore), I just like a tread that bites a bit just in case. I don't plan to use these for my winter tires but think they would be ok per reviews and looks of them. The depth and gaps seem wide and deep enough to throw mud and snow etc. I think these tires will be fine getting me to that out of the way campsite and beach sites. Delivery was AWESOME 2 days! TX to Alaska! I saved $$$ from the prices here. I have only driven a few miles but they don't sound noisy on the Hwy I drove on. Will update if any negative things arise. Still bummed on not buying good ol American tires butttt. ... show more

I put them on an 04 colorado and they’ve been good tires. Good traction and I don’t slide in water like some tires I’ve gotten. They hold up pretty well and don’t leak air, have almost no road noise whatsoever and still manage a slightly more “aggressive” tread pattern. Haven’t tried them for anything much off-road they’re good in grass that’s wet but haven’t touched mud. But if you like your paint on your truck and are concerned about flying rocks do not buy these tires they hold rocks until you’re going 55-60 and then hurl them. Got these back in late summer and so far very happy with them. We got our first snow of the season and local weather claimed this area got 4 to 7 ft in 2 days , Where I am 4 plus ft and I had to go to work through this storm some roads would have been impassible to most vehicles including mine with its old tires . These new ones made a big difference and got me to and from work all weekend even through the 4ft snowbank the plow made in my driveway. Great tires ... show more

Size: 265/70R17 115T
These tires are not full size. A 265/70R17 should be 31.6" tall by 10.4 wide. These are only 30.5 by 9.6. more than an inch shorter, almost an inch narrower. The tires are very smooth and quiet. Wear and mileage seem to be ok.

I recently purchased a set of 4 for my Ram 1500 quad cab. The noise level is minimal, and the truck handles very smoothly. I only have about 1100 miles on the tires but after a long road trip last week, I was very pleased with the noise level and the smoothness of the ride.
