The ease of this unit awesome. Once you have it up it literally takes a few seconds to fold up. Stows nicely in a small amount of space. I recommend placing silicone under the anchor cleat whrr er n attaching it to your kayak to prevent and water getting in.

Using this on my 10' BOTE inflatable kayak. Love the ease of storage. The paint seems thick enough to last for a while and hold off rust. The line provided is way to large for most of the uses of this light anchor. But it does make it easy on the hands to deploy and retrieve. The blade locking system is easy to use on the water. I've deployed it on sandy/silty and weedy bottoms, and it holds. Release was easier than I expected. I am returning it because this anchor is too big for my kayak, that is used mostly in a lake or a river with little current. The anchor is 3 pounds, a 1.5 pound will suffice for me. However, the anchor, rope and zigzag cleat that come with it are good quality. If you anchor at the sea or somewhere with strong current and wind, this is a good value for your money. ... show more
