Purchased this for my NEW boat and the box it came in which is big was pretty tattered. I mostly had to destroy the box to get the contents out. Once out I did not noticed that it had a humdinger (dent) right in front of the talon and the letter "L" had a nick in the graphics. So installed the unit, electrically hooked it up and admired my work until I saw the dent then depression set in. I did contact the vendor but all they would do is return the item. I would have been okay to return it but after I installed it which is a PITA I did not want to undo everything I spent 6 hours doing plus I had no box or enough duct tape to repair the box to send it back. From a functionality standpoint, the unit works as designed and my suspicion that it might bind with that dent in it was eased when it extended and retracted the full 12'. I will have to live with my disappointment. I would advise that you check this over with a fine toothed comb if you purchased this. While it looks good on my boat color matching and all, functions as designed, I am always attracted to the HUMDINGER. ... show more
