Description

Coffee is amazing. It’s no mere beverage. And we believe this just as passionately today as we did when we first brought our gourmet coffee to market over 100 years ago. Throughout the years, we’ve explored new varieties, changed our look, rolled out ground coffee and single-serving Keurig K-Cup® pod packs…but there are some things we’ll never change. For starters, the classic flavors inside our new bags remain untouched. All our whole bean and ground varieties continue to be crafted using only high quality, 100% Arabica coffee. All our roasting is done at our own facility in Maryland, USA, under the expert supervision of master roasters. We take coffee personally. We care about our craft. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

  • SUPERB espresso and capuccino, at a killer price!
I have been a fan of 8:00 Columbian whole bean med. roast for about 15 years, since getting my first expresso machine and going "yuck" at espresso made from "espresso beans" which are really just burnt instead of roasted. This makes a fragrant and yummy shot, very pleasing to the palate. Barely costs more than generic pre-ground garbage. I really need to see a great product and a great price before I will go five stars but for this bean I wish I could go six. ... show more

  • Surprisingly good coffee for the price
I like good coffees and this is surprisingly good for the cost. It's 50% more at local supermarkets. I fresh grind daily and it's just delish. I'd put this up against the brands costing twice as much.

  • Good low-cost coffee
I was used to drinking very pricey Sumatra Mandheling coffee and loved the rich flavor, but the price kept going up, and it has become too much of a luxury for me to buy. After researching cheap coffee options, it became clear to me that Eight O'Clock 100% Colombian Peaks was the best bang for the buck. It doesn't have the rich, earthy undertones and mouthfeel of Sumatra Manheling, but it's better than a lot of cheap coffee. It has a rather thin, one-dimensional flavor in my humble opinion. Using more doesn't help, because if too much is used, it tends to have a rather sour taste. UPDATE*** I figured out how to fix the sour taste. I did some reading, and I saw this... "One common cause of sour coffee is under extracting during the brewing process. This happens when not enough flavor is taken out of the coffee grounds while brewing. The longer your coffee brews, the more sugars are extracted from the grounds, making the coffee taste sweeter." My Ninja coffee maker has a "rich" setting, which gives more time for the extraction to happen. After brewing a pot on this setting, it was like magic; the coffee tastes remarkably better! Decent, cheap coffee on a budget. ... show more

  • Loved by Colombians!
My wife and her family are from Colombia and they rave about this coffee whenever I make it for them. It has an amazing rich and toasty flavor, nothing bitter. I use it to make espressos for cold oat milk lattes for myself but my wife’s family drinks it black and they love it. Have bought and will buy again! ... show more

  • Coffee is top 5 best
If you're searching for a good coffee is amazing! Freshly ground and brewed coffee in the morning is the best, the smell is amazing. It's very smooth but a rich smoot and always fresh.

  • Amended - (fresh) dating on packages
EDIT: 5-7-24 dating on packages very fresh. Much appreciated! This brand has been my benchmark / standard brand for 50 years. I struggle with boutique brands, frankly cannot afford them and do not enjoy them any more than really good coffee. I hand grind this bean into delicate magic in my cup. Coffee is one of the main things to "get me into" the store, or to go shopping. A couple of keyboard clicks, it is at the doorstep directly. BUT, I will buy from Wally World next time... get fresher coffee! ... show more

  • Whole bean coffee that is freshly ground by customer is incredible
The flavor is wonderful and the few minutes to grind it are so worth it.
